Texas JUCO Week 5 Ranking

This weeks update there was not much movement. The top 2 stayed the same, while there is a newcomer in both the Top 5 and Top 10.


Top Two

#1-San Jac (13-3)

Even though they did not move any San Jac had two dominant performance from their pitching staff this past week. SO RHP Jackson Rutledge (Kentucky) went 5 innings striking out 8 while only allowing two runs. SO RHP Dane Acker (Oklahoma) went 6 scoreless innings striking out 10.

#2-McLennan (13-4)

McLennan had 2 big wins against Howard this past weekend. Thank to strong pitching performances of FR RHP Mason Hilton and SO RHP Alex DeLeon (uncommitted) who both did not give up a run.


Moving Up

#10→ #5 Weatherford (10-3)

Weatherford had one of the top offensive weeks outscoring Odessa 20-4 in their three-game series. It was lead by SO SS J.T. Thompson (Texas State) hit above, 400 at .444 with a double while scoring 4 runs; as well as teammate FR 2B Cole Johnson who also was just above .400 at .417 with 2 doubles and 2 runs batted in.

#12→ #9 Navarro (7-6)

Navarro only played one game this past week against North Central which they one 9-4. Their offense was lead by SO 1B Kyle Landers (uncommitted) who went 2-4 on the day with a double and a home run, driving in 3 runs. Another big contributor for them was FR C Dawson Woods went 1-5, but his one hit was a bases-clearing double.
