Prep Baseball Report Kansas/Missouri held the Underclass Invitational East at The Sports Barn in Wentzville, Missouri on January 31. Over 75 players in the 2018 and 2019 attended.

In the past several days, we have broken down each position.  Today we will take a look at the corner infielder's performances today.  Player profiles have been updated with video and stats from the event.  Click on each player to see their profile.

Corner Infielders

Cadence Allen, 1B, Francis Howell, 2018
Allen is a 5-foot-8 145-pound left-handed hitting outfielder.  Allen ran an 8.50 60 an has an exit velo of 60 mph.  At the plate, starts in balanced position, in line stride, short to contact, middle/oppo approach.  On the infield, Allen has a 66 mph infield velo, high three quarters arm slot, plays through the catch with fluid footwork, clean transfer, mostly accurate throws.

Bruce Bixler, 3B, Francis Howell Central, 2019
Bixler is a 5-foot-7 140-pound right-handed hitting thirdbaseman.  He ran a 8.06 60 and had a 71 mph exit velo. At the plate, balanced set up, no wasted movement in load, minimal hand movement, level bat path, gap-to-gap approach, repeatable. On the infield, 67 mph positional velo, high three quarters release, clean exchange and transfer, accurate throws.
 
Kurtis Byrne, 3B, CBC, 2019
Byrne is a 5-foot-11 185-pound right-handed hitting third baseman. Bryne ran a 7.88 60 and had an exit velo of 89 mph.  At the plate, starts in wide stance, loads into back leg, short stride, quick hands, level path to extension, power to pull side, gap-to-gap approach.  On the infield, 80 mph positional velo, high three quarters release, fluid footwork to the ball, momentum towards target, accurate throws.

Brady Dolde, 1B, Troy Buchanon, 2019
Dolde is a 6-foot-1 200-pound left-handed hitting first baseman.  He ran a 7.55 60 and has an exit velo of 75 mph. At the plate, balanced set up, minimal load, no wasted movement, line drives to mostly pull side, power potential, strong hands, body stays under control during swing.  On the infield, 70 mph positional velo at 1B, high three quarters release, fluid transfer, mostly accurate throws.

Nick Gettemeier, 3B, Holt, 2019
Gettemeier is a 6-foot-1 165-pound right-handed hitting third baseman. He ran a 7.94 60 and has an exit velo of 77 mph. At the plate, smooth load into back side, short stride, level path through hitting zone, mostly pull line drives during batting practice.  On the infield, 67 mph positional velo, over the top release, fluid footwork to the ball, quick transfer and throw, mostly accurate throws.

Tyler Hagan, 1B, Lafayette, 2019
Hagan is a 6-foot-3 225-pound right-handed hitting first baseman.  He ran an 8.64 60 and has an exit velo of 86 mph. At the plate, balanced set up, loads with hands and lower half, short inline stride, pull side power, high finish in hands.  On the infield, 71 mph positional velo at 1B, high three quarters release, field ball in athletic position, fluid footwork, mostly accurate throws.

Joe Langston, 3B, Lutheran-St. Charles, 2018
Langston is a 5-foot-9 140-pound right-handed hitting third baseman.  He ran a 7.19 60 and has an exit velo of 77 mph. At the plate, starts in crouched position, reverse toe touch to load, short inline stride, quick hands through the hitting zone, level, repeats swing, gap-to-gap approach.  On the infield, 73 mph positional velo, over the top release, attacks ball with quick feet and good route, plays through the catch, accurate throws. 

Frank Lopez, 3B, Fort Zumwalt South, 2019
Lopez is a 6-foot 190-pound right-handed hitting third baseman.  He ran a 7.89 60 and has an exit velo of 77 mph.   At the plate, athletic set up, minimal load, short stride, quick and loose hands, uses mostly middle of the field.  On the infield, high three quarters release, moves to ball well, fluid footwork, clean transfer, 78 mph positional velo, accurate throws.

Braedon Mathys, 1B, Holt, 2018
Mathys is a 5-foot-11 220-pound right-handed hitting first baseman.  He ran a 8.57 60 and has an 80 mph exit velo.  At the plate, starts in wide base, smooth load into back side, short stride, loose hands, level to extension, gap-to-gap approach.  On the infield, aggressive to the ball, quick feet, high three quarters release, clean transfer, accurate throws. 

Charles Mooneyham, 1B, Timberland, 2018
Mooneyham is a 6-foot-2 220-pound right-handed hitting first baseman.  He ran an 8.02 60 and has an exit velo of 92 mph. At the plate, starts in athletic stance, load against back side, controlled leg lift, strong and loose hands, solid and powerful contact to the whole field during batting practice, body stays under control.  On the inefield, 76 mph positional velo at 1B, athletic footwork, field ball in a position to throw, high three quarters release, quick transfer and throw, accurate throws.

Noah Pingel, 3B, Francis Howell North, 2018
Pingel is a 5-foot-10 165-pound right-handed hitting third baseman.  He ran a 7.82 60 and has an exit velo of 74 mph. At the plate, starts in a tall set up, short inline stride, line drives to mostly middle of the field.  On the infield, 77 mph positional velo, over the top release, quick catch and throw, fluid footwork, mostly accurate throws.

Kolten Poorman, 3B, St. Francis Co. R-1, 2019
Poorman is a strong 5-foot-9 192-pound right-handed hitting third baseman.  He ran a 7.27 60 and has an exit velo of 86 mph. At the plate, starts in athletic stance, minimal load, attacks ball, quick hands and bat speed, aggressive swing, power to pull gap.  On the infield, over the top release, 73 mph positional velo, fields ball in athletic position, fluid footwork, quick catch and throw, accurate throws.

Garrett Ray, 1B, Francis Howell North, 2018
Ray is a 5-foot-10 220-pound right-handed hitting third baseman.  He ran a 8.33 60 and has an exit velo of 83 mph. At the plate, starts in open stance, controlled leg kick, consistent solid contact to pull side during batting practice.  On the infield, high three quarters release, takes good route to ball, quick catch and throw, mostly accurate throws, 70 mph infield velo, 67 mph velo at 1B.

Preston Salazar, 3B, Kirkwood, 2019
Salazar is a 6-foot-1 145-pound right-handed hitting third baseman.  He ran a 7.51 60 and has an exit velo of 79 mph. At the plate, open stance to inline stride, aggressive to the ball, loose hands to extension, showed feel for the barrel, consistent line drive to middle/pull side.  On the infield, 75 mph positional velo, over the top release, clean exchange with some momentum through the catch, accurate throws.  Slender and projectable build.

Tayte Sanders, 3B, Liberty (Wentzville), 2019
Sanders is a 5-foot-8 180-pound right-handed hitting third baseman.  He ran a 8.37 60 and has an exit velo of 71 mph.  At the plate, starts in a wide stance, short stride, level bat plane, uses the middle of the field, body under control during swing.  On the infield, three quarters release, 64 mph infield velo, fluid action, clean exchange, mostly accurate throws.

Tommy Stevenson, 3B, Kirkwood, 2019
Tommy Stevenson is a 5-foot-11 160-pound right-handed hitting third baseman.  He ran a 8.21 60 and has an exit velo of 72 mph. At the plate, controlled and smooth rhythm, early and soft stride, mostly pull line drives, body stays under control.  On the infield, 69 mph positional velo, high three quarters release, arm works, fluid footwork getting into fielding position, accurate throws. 

Alec Talbot, 3B, Liberty (Wentzville), 2019
Talbot is a 6-foot 160-pound right-handed hitting third baseman.  He an a 7.90 60 and has an exit velo of 66 mph. At the plate, starts in thin base, leg kick, lands ront foot in line, swing produces to middle to pull line drives.  On the infield, 65 mph positional velo, high three quarters release, clean exchange, mostly accurate throws.

Tommy Williams, 3B, Lafayette, 2018
Williams is a strong 6-foot-1 225-pound right-handed hitting third baseman.  He ran a 7.32 60 and has an exit velo of 95 mph. At the plate, simple and repeatable, no wasted movement in load, quick bat speed, showed power to middle of the field, gap to gap approach, hard solid consistent contact during batting practice, developing into a top power bat for his class. On the infield, 83 mph velo across the diamond, 81 mph velo at 1B, moves well for size, quick feet, over the top release, momentum through the catch, clean transfer, soft hands.

Ryan Woods, 3B, Francis Howell North, 2018
Woods is a 5-foot-11 190-pound right-handed hitting third baseman.  He ran a 8.06 60 and has an exit velo of 80 mph. At the plate, starts in open stance, lands in-line with front foot, level path, mostly pull line drives, balanced finish.  On the infield, over the top release, 70 mph positional velo, fluid footwork, clean exchange, accurate throws.
