Vianney junior Matt Brown commits to Arkansas

Matt Brown, who’s one of the best Class of 2013 prospects in the state, has verbally committed to the University of Arkansas. The strong-bodied 6-foot2, 210-pound 3B is the No. 6 ranked player in the Class of 2013. As a sophomore, Brown batted .319 with 7 homers, 6 doubles and 21 RBI for Vianney last spring.

Brown is arguably the best defensive corner infielder in the class. He possesses a plus arm, as he was clocked at 84 mph across the diamond at a Prep Baseball Report event last winter.  Brown also possess above average bat speed and power to all fields at the plate.

Brown is a veteran of Prep Baseball Report events, participating most recently in the Super 60 Showcase as well as the Prep Baseball Report Future Games, powered by Under Armour, in August.
