Below we’ve detailed this update at a more in-depth level, shining some light on the top of the board, as well as highlighting notable risers and newcomers to the rankings, which you can find by reading below.

THE TOP 10

The top 10 holds steady this update, seeing no changes among its members. INF/RHP Cole Chambers (St. Louis University) holds on to the top spot followed by fellow two-way standout  LHP/OF Chase Stieferman (Capital City; Missouri commit) who both put together strong showings at events this fall. A trio of St. Louis area natives in RHP Brandon Ott (De Smet Jesuit), INF Max Partney (Hillsboro) and C Carson Leuthauser (Eureka) follow at No. 3-5 respectively. OF Adam McKnight (Nixa) slides in at No. 6 followed by C Andrew Maultsby (Staley) at No. 7 and INF Cameron Miller (Nixa) at No. 8. RHP Evan Magnuson (Platte County) and INF Brady Yates round out the top 10.

ON THE RISE...

+ The biggest jump of this update comes from RHP/INF Brody Simily (West County) who is up 19 spots to No. 32 in this edition of our rankings. The 6-foot, 188-pound athlete put together a loud showing on both sides of the ball at our St. Louis Fall ID this past October, but it was on the mound where he shined the brightest, running his fastball up to 89 mph, flashing carry through the top of the zone with 2,400+ RPM average spin. Off of that he spun an advanced slider at 73-75 mph with 2,700+ spin and -16.3” of horizontal movement and a curveball at 70-73 mph with 2,400+ spin.

+ OF Colston Lyon (St. Michael the Archangel) and RHP/INF Howie Donoho (Chillicothe) continue to see themselves shoot up our rankings boards putting together impressive performances once again at our MOKAN Fall ID. Lyon continues to build off a strong summer season, showing a polished right-handed swing that works line drives to all fields with a mid-90s exit velocity and plenty of room to add on a 5-foot-9, 150-pound frame. Donoho once again saw an uptick in stuff on the mound, running his fastball up to 88 mph, commanding the zone at 85-87 mph while also posting a 92 mph exit velocity at the plate, making him an intriguing two-way follow in the Show Me State. He is up 10 spots in this update.

+ C Zach Partney (Hillsboro) continues to show increasing physicality both at the plate and behind the dish, sliding up the rankings as a result. The 6-foot, 195-pound backstop flashed a low-to-mid-90s exit velocity with a 2.02 pop time this fall at our Legacy Scout Day. Look for more to come from Partney as he continues to polish his game.

+ OF Connar Lucas (St. Louis University) and INF/RHP John Schmitt (Lee’s Summit North) are two more names that see slight bumps in their rankings after strong performances at our MO Fall Games and MOKAN Fall ID respectively.
