Mizuno Player & Pitcher of the Week: Week 1

Each week during the high school season, we will be announcing the Mizuno Pitcher and Player of the Week for that particular week. Numerous players across the state continue to put up impressive numbers both as position players and pitchers on the mound. This year we will be selecting one Pitcher of the Week and one Player of the Week based on nominations from high school coaches across the state. Thanks to Mizuno for sponsoring both awards this season.

Let's take a look at the Mizuno Player and Pitcher of the Week for Week 1 of the 2025 spring season.

MIZUNO PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Tanner Beliveau C / 3B / PETAL HIGH SCHOOL, MS / 2025

The Mississippi State signee has had a memorable start to his senior season. In week one Beliveau picked up 4 hits in 6 at bats which included 3 home runs while driving in 9 runs. The big righty also picked up a win in the Panthers opening game of the year going 3 1/3 innings versus Sumrall, allowing 0 hits with 7 strikeouts.

MIZUNO PITCHER OF THE WEEK

Colt Robertson RHP / Picayune, MS / 2026

Robertson was instrumental in 2 wins for the Maroon Tide last week as he earned a win after throwing 5 innings, allowing 4 hits and 1 run against Biloxi. The righty also picked up a save with 2 and 2/3 hitless innings versus Saint Stanislaus. On the week Robertson went 8 innings, allowing just 4 hits, 1 run, with 12 strikeouts.
