Available! - A Look at a Few Uncommitted Players Heading in to the Spring

Several quality prospects remain available heading into the 2022 spring. Today we spotlight a few uncommitted players that could be highly counted on by their respective programs. The season is right around the corner and we can't wait to begin our coverage!

Leading off is senior 3B Owen Abney of Jackson Prep. Abney solidifies the corner spot for the Patriots with next level fielding ability, a strong arm, and should help with offensive production this year as he regularly shows exit velocities into the low 90 mph range.

TJ Dunsford, a 2023 graduate of East Central has pop! The 2 time Future Games participant registered an impressive 102 mph exit velocity this summer in Atlanta. Power potential is not the extent of his game by any means. Dunsford also shows a solid glove and excellent arm strength (88 mph) from 3B and the ability to play multiple positions on the diamond.

A couple of 2024’s that could make a statement this spring are left handed pitcher Calvin Robinson and catcher Robbie Hokamp. 

 

Robinson, a Northwest Rankin product, has plenty of upside and a frame that will get recruiters excited. Up to 84 mph late this summer, while showing developing spin, this spring could be a coming out party!
