The 2018 high school regular season is wrapping up as playoff seeding begins to take shape. On Tuesday, 2018  Bryce Brock (Lewisburg) and 2019 Logan Tanner (George County) were named Co-Players of the Week for April 23rd  – April 29th. We take a look at the other nominations sent in by coaches around the state in this week’s Diamond Notes.

+ South Alabama recruit, Trevor McDonald (George County) threw seven shutout innings allowing three hits and walked one while striking out six.

+ Leo Harris (St. Martin) gives up one earned run and three hits while striking out nine

+ Jones County JC signee, Bailee Hendon (Vancleave) threw a complete game allowing six hits, one run and two walks while striking out ten.

+ Hinds CC signee, Ryan Jackson (Ridgeland) pitched for seven innings allowing three hits, one run, one walks and ten strikeouts.

+Louisiana Lafayette signee, Dexter Jordan (Hattiesburg) went 6-for-6 at the plate driving in six runs including a triple and homerun. Jordan also pitched for six innings allowing three hits and one walk while striking out six.

+ Alabama State signee, AJ Stinson (Hattiesburg) threw for six and one-third innings allowing two hits, three runs, four walks while punching out fourteen.
