Each week during the high school season, the PBR Mississippi Staff has put together a collection of Diamond Notes of the top performers on the field.

As the high school season has shifted towards the MHSAA & MAIS High School Playoffs, we have put together a list of top performers from Round One of the playoffs and will continue to do so throughout the remainder of the season.

Dawson Muenzenmay RHP / OF / Northwest Rankin, MS / 2023 Rankings  StateRank: 53 / POS: 12 Muenzenmay, a Hinds CC recruit, had a big time performance over Biloxi in 2nd round action, throwing 7 innings, scattering 6 hits, allowing 0 runs, while striking out 8.

TJ Dunsford 3B / RHP / East Central, MS / 2023 Rankings  StateRank: 16 / POS: 3 OverallRank: 474 / POS: 30 Dunsford, a Southern Miss recruit, tossed 5 scoreless innings, giving up 4 hits, allowing 0 runs with 9 strikeouts in a big win over Florence.

Jon Paul Robertson OF / RHP / Germantown , MS / 2023 Rankings  StateRank: 28 / POS: 9 Robertson was huge last week for the Mavericks! In 2 starts, Robertson, a Pearl River CC recruit, threw 12 scoreless innings, allowing 5 hits, 0 runs, while striking out 17 in playoff wins over Center Hill.

Friend Walker OF / St. Andrew's, MS / 2024 Walker had a perfect week with 9 hits in 9 at bats for the Saints. The junior added a grand slam, a triple, a double, and 9 runs batted in in wins over Southeast Lauderdale.

Walker Van Meter 3B / OF / St Andrews Episcopal, MS / 2024 Rankings  StateRank: 108 / POS: 11 Van Meter went 5 for 8 in a series win over Southeast Lauderdale. The junior picked up a home run, a triple, and 5 runs batted in for the Saints.

Stone Myrick 1B / Saint Andrews Episcopal, MS / 2025 Myrick showed his dual threat ability last week in a series win over Southeast Lauderdale. The sophomore went 6 for 11 at the plate with a triple, double, and 6 rbi's. Myrick then stepped on the mound for 5 innings, allowing  just 2 runs, while striking out 4.

Drake Douglas OF / RHP / Saltillo, MS / 2023 Rankings  StateRank: 26 / POS: 8 Douglas, a Northeast MS CC recruit, continued his dominance with 7 shutout innings, allowing just 1 hit, with 10 strikeouts in a 2nd round victory over Neshoba Central.

Seth Farni OF / LHP / St. Stanislaus , MS / 2023 Rankings  StateRank: 3 / POS: 1 OverallRank: 117 / POS: 19 Known for the damage he does with the bat, Farni, an Ole Miss signee, stepped on the bump and provided the Rock-A-Chaws with 5 shutout innings, allowing just 1 hit, while striking out 9 in a big win over Enterprise.

Talon Haley LHP / OF / Lewisburg , MS / 2025 Rankings  StateRank: 4 / POS: 1 OverallRank: 148 / POS: 16 Haley was spectacular in a 2nd round victory over Clinton. The Vanderbilt commit worked 7 scoreless innings, allowing 1 single, while striking out 8.

Everett Thompson RHP / Lafayette, MS / 2023 Thompson picked up a big win for the Commodores in playoff action. The senior and Hinds CC recruit allowed no runs in 4 innings of work, while adding 9 strikeouts in the victory over Jim Hill.
