Today we dive into a few more quick hits and observations from Tuesday's event:

Tennessee recruit, Kyle Booker (DeSoto Central, MS) is a fast-twitch, left-handed hitter that ran a 6.94 60-yard dash, threw 92 from the outfield, and was on the barrel during BP with an exit velocity of 88 mph. He worked through balls well defensively with fundamental footwork, exchanges the ball quick and easy, plays on the run, and has an accurate arm that allows him to make all the throws to stay on the infield at the next level.

Alan Kivett (Warren Central, MS) has an athletic, projectable pitcher’s frame at 6-foot, 170-pounds. Working from a high slot, the right-hander sat 83-84 and spun a solid 11/5 curveball at 68-70 mph. Also threw a couple of nice changeups at 72-74 mph.

DMtrice Booth (Oak Grove, MS) has a balanced setup with simple strength in his hack. The left-handed hitter has natural lift with loose hands and good extension through contact. He registered an exit velocity of 86 mph off the tee and threw 83 mph from outfield.

Landon Rascoe (Hattiesburg, MS) continues to impress with high-end tools as a potential two-way player. Throws with plenty of arm strength across the diamond at 90 mph that should allow him to stay on the left side of the infield. The interesting part about Rascoe’s game is that the arm strength also transfers to the mound, where he pumped fastball at 85-87 mph.

Louisiana Tech recruit, Ben Brantley (Hernando, MS) has a strong, sturdy frame at 6-foot-4, 220-pounds. The left-handed hitter showed some power to the pull side with an exit velocity of 97 mph, driving a home run foul during game play.

Cody Swanson (Madison Ridgeland Academy, MS) has an extremely athletic build at 6-foot-1, 175-pounds, with proportional strength. Swanson ran a 6.78 60-yard dash, threw 90 mph from the OF, and registered an exit velocity of 83 mph. At the plate, Swanson has loose hands and easy rhythm, as he delivers the head through contact with a loose finish.

Chase Honeycutt (DeSoto Central, MS) has a super clean exchange and his arm works really well behind the dish with an easy arm stroke, posting pop times of 1.85, 1.97, and 2.15. The right-handed stroke is loose and direct as he consistently found barrel during BP session.

Patrick Little (Northeast Jones, MS) has a long, wiry frame at 6-foot-7, 185-pound and work from a smooth arm stroke and a high-¾ slot. His fastball was 82-85, and threw his breaking ball with near 12/6 shape at 71-75 for a strike. Works down the mound with good extension and angle out front in delivery.

Colin Frederickson (St. Stanislaus, MS) is still adding polish to his defensive actions but it is the left-handed swing that adds to the intrigue from a recruiting standpoint, as he has a smooth, balanced swing with gap power posting an exit velocity of 86 mph.
