The Mississippi/Alabama Border Battle is an Invite-Only event geared toward prospects looking to play baseball at the college level. This event will feature a showcase style workout followed by games for the top prospects in MS and AL. In the first year of the Border Battle in 2020, Alabama took home the series 5-3 over Mississippi. Mississippi comes in armed and ready for this years battle!

The event will take place on October 9th & 10th at Northeast Mississippi CC in Booneville, MS. Each state will take a 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 team. Each player will go through the pro-style workout on Saturday morning and then play against the other state (each class) in two games. Roster spots have been limited to 12-14 players on each team. All participants at the Border Battle will have their performance videotaped and hosted in their player profile, along with their verified statistics and scouting reports at PrepBaseballReport.com, which is subscribed to by more than 750 colleges and pro scouts across the country. 

 

ITINERARY/EVENT SCHEDULE

 

Please be there 1 hour before your scheduled game time. 

No metal spikes. Please wear turf shoes or molded cleats. 

Format:

Position Players will undergo a pro-style workout including BP and defensive evaluations followed by a live game with scripted playing time.

Pitchers will throw in a live game with a conservative pitch count to protect the arms of the prospects.
