THURSDAY, April 7th

+ RHP Drake Douglas (2023) of Saltillo was stellar on Thursday night. The uncommitted RHP/OF worked his fastball in the 84-87 mph range most of the night but seemed to get stronger as the night moved on, reaching 89 mph in the 7th inning. Douglas showed the ability to work in all quadrants while mixing in a 12/6 breaking ball that gave hitters fits. 

 

+ RHP Colin Perrigan (2024) OF New Hope carries a tall, lean frame and clean arm action to the mound. The 6-5 sophomore was into the mid 80's with his fastball on Thursday evening with more on the way. Perrigan also had very good feel for his breaking ball and located it well. Expect to hear this name more as recruiters should flock to his outings. 

 

+ INF Mason Easterling (2023) of Saltillo has next level ability at SS with range and solid fundamentals at the position. The uncommitted 2023 has an aggressive approach at the plate with good speed out of the box. Easterling is a very well rounded prospect that should begin to receive lots of attention from recruiters. 

 

 

Friday, APRIL 8TH

+ RHP JP Allen (2022) of Lewisburg was solid on Friday night during some very windy and cool conditions. The Mississippi Delta CC recruit worked 81-83 mph with his fastball while holding opponents in check with a sharp late moving breaking ball that he commanded well. 

 

+ RHP Hunter Peeks of Center Hill sat 81-84 mph on Friday night with his fastball. The uncommitted 2023 showed good tumbling action with his curveball that he regularly kept low in the zone. Peeks also serves as a catcher/outfielder for the Mustangs and could be used in a dual role at the next level. 

 

+ INF Riley Parker (2022) of Lewisburg has the tools to play at the next level. The uncommitted infielder uses his hands well at the plate showing plenty of ability to get the barrel to pitches all over the zone. Parker also was solid on defense at second base with good footwork and an accurate arm. 

 

+ INF Austin Hannigan (2024) of Lewisburg is a big time prospect on the rise in Mississippi. The sophomore has a very quick bat and line drive approach at the plate. Hannigan plays with good speed and instincts and carries himself on the field like an upperclassmen. College recruiters will love the tools he brings to the park.
