The 2022 high school baseball season is back in the state of Mississippi. The PBR Mississippi staff will be out in full-force throughout the duration of the season with wall-to-wall coverage of big games, standout performances from players, and much more. 

Our PBR staff worked diligently at ranking these top 25 teams, while looking at their last season accomplishments along with key losses and returning impact players. These rankings will obviously continue to change as teams play more games as the season goes on. But for now, let's take a look at the Mississippi Power 25.

We have a new #1 after Madison Central falls twice this week. Look for the Jaguars to remain in the hunt for the top spot as they certainly have the squad to work their way back to Trustmark Park.

For now though, Jackson Prep takes over the top spot after a good start to the season, with Northwest Rankin on their heals coming off a big win over Madison Central. 

Congrats to Resurrection Catholic on coming in at #25 as the 1A runner-up to Tupelo Christian last season goes 4-0 to start the season with wins over two 6A schools, a 4A, and a 3A!
