Hattiesburg, MS  ̶  Thursday the Prep Baseball Report scouting staff traveled to the Hattiesburg area to watch the Oak Grove Classic, and stopping along the way to check out a few uncommitted 2019 arms. The following are scout notes from prospects who stood out during the opening days of the season.

Kole Alford, LHP, North Pike, 2019
The left-hander works ¾ slot and pounded the zone with his FB/CB mix. Alford had a good mound presence and attack zone, with quick up-tempo delivery. Commanded his fastball well to both sides of the plate pitching at 85-87 mph with good life, receiving multiple swing and misses on fastball. His curveball showed solid depth and sweeping action at 72-73 mph.
