Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across Mississippi.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons at Pearl’s Trustmark Park, in the State Tournament finals at the end of May, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Mississippi. We will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews, eventually releasing our Preseason Power 25 rankings that’ll carry us into the opening week of action.

Please keep checking back throughout the season as we will be your one-stop shop for everything related to high school baseball across the state. Each week we will be releasing our Players of the Week and updating the Power 25 rankings.

2025 OUTLOOK

+ Biloxi enters the 2025 season returning five positional starters and two pitchers from last year's squad that finished 18-12 before bowing out in the first round of the 7A State Playoffs. Head Coach Hawtin Buchanan believes team speed, defensive strength, and bullpen depth will be crucial factors in making the Indians a strong contender this spring.

Leading the charge for Biloxi are seniors Tristain Haynes (OF), Jackson Irvin (OF), Shawn Gollott (RHP), Will Parker (C/1B), and Wyatt Pyron (RHP/3B), alongside junior Connor Lofton (INF/RHP). Offensively, Parker (18 RBI), Lofton (16 RBI), and Haynes (20 runs) will be counted on to set the tone, while Gollott (5-2) and Pyron (2-3) will anchor the pitching staff.

Other key contributors for the Indians include seniors Fisher Trochesset (1B) and Ayden Kuljis (INF), juniors Luke Bienvenue (INF/RHP), Bryk Bucklar (C/RHP), Leyton Gunter (INF), Brody Nguyen (INF/OF/RHP), and Ike Pyron (INF/RHP), along with sophomores Gage Dalferes (C/RHP), Adam Rugg (OF/RHP), and Avery Tisdale (RHP).

Biloxi will open regular season play on February 11th against Picayune, looking to build early momentum for a strong campaign.
