We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Mississippi. We will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews, eventually releasing our Preseason Power 25 rankings that’ll carry us into the opening week of action.

2025 OUTLOOK
+ Hatley returns 8 positional starters and 8 pitchers from a team that ended last season 20-10 after a 3rd round loss in the State 2A playoffs. Head Coach Cody Brownlee believes the overall balance of hitting and pitching will allow his Tigers to be highly competitive in 2025 with the goal of reaching Trustmark Park.
Top returners for Hatley include senior Tristan Hendrix (SS/RHP, Itawamba CC recruit), junior Brody Sloan (1B/RHP), along with sophomores Gatlin Brownlee (3B/RHP), Evan George (OF/RHP), and Garrett Wilkinson (C/RHP).
Hendrix returns after leading the Tigers with a .505 batting average while connecting on 4 home runs and driving in 29 runners. The Itawamba CC recruit will also be a go to arm after going 4-3 with a 3.00 ERA, with 71 strikeouts in 46 innings. Hatley also will once again have the big bat (.477) of Evan George who led the team with 11 homers last year while also driving in 53. Brownlee (.430, 30 RBI’s), Sloan (.350, 30 RBI’s), and Wilkinson (.375, 27 RBI’s) add even more punch to a dangerous Tiger lineup.
Other players Coach Brownlee will expect to see production from will be senior Logan Brown (RHP), juniors Bryson Wilson (INF/RHP), Brayden Pyron (INF/RHP), Kane Wren (INF/DH), and Jeremy Odom (OF), along with sophomores Carson Armstrong (INF/RHP) and Chris Foster (OF/RHP).
Hatley will begin regular season play on March 1st versus New Site.
