The 2025 Mississippi high school baseball season is quickly approaching and, as usual, excitement is abound throughout the state. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across Mississippi.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons at Pearl’s Trustmark Park, in the State Tournament finals at the end of May, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Mississippi. We will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews, eventually releasing our Preseason Power 25 rankings that’ll carry us into the opening week of action.

2025 OUTLOOK

+ St. Andrew’s enters the 2025 season ready to defend its 2A State Championship after last year’s impressive 32-7 campaign. With three returning positional starters and four experienced pitchers, Head Coach Mark Fanning will rely on a deep pitching staff and the competitive drive of his squad as the Saints aim for back-to-back titles.

Leading the way are seniors Stone Myrick (RHP/INF) and Mark Eaton (LHP/DH), junior John William Walker (INF/RHP), and sophomore Cash Myrick (OF/RHP).

Stone Myrick will once again be a key offensive force after driving in 35 runs last season, while Walker looks to build on his impressive .412 batting average and 22 RBIs. On the mound, Myrick is expected to take on a leading role after posting a 5-1 record with a 3.54 ERA in 2024.

Several other players are poised to make an impact, including juniors Sergeant Moriarity (LHP/OF) and Marco Leflore (INF), along with Pierce Ingram (RHP/OF/INF).

The Saints open their season on February 13th against Canton Academy, looking to set the tone for another championship run.
