Super 60 Spotlight: LHP Maddox Miller

McCook, IL - The Prep Baseball Super 60 Pro Showcase is set to take place on Sunday, February 2nd at The Max in McCook, IL. This event will host some of the top elite talent that the country has to offer in the 2025 class.
The state of Mississippi is set to send four players to the premier event to represent the Magnolia State. Today we will begin spotlighting the players who will be in attendance at the event from Mississippi.
Next, we will take a look at the No. 4 player in the 2025 Mississippi Class. Mississippi State recruit & LHP Maddox Miller.

Maddox Miller, Oak Grove (MS), 2025 Mississippi State
Positional Profile: 1B/LHP
Body: 6-4, 165-pounds. Longer, athletic frame with some room for added mass. Projectable frame.
Delivery: Smooth, repeatable tempo. Works down the mound well with good direction. Could get longer into stride and more extension.
Arm Action: LH. Long, loose and whippy arm action.
FB: T89, 87-89 mph. Quality pitch, plays in the zone with arm side run. T2244, 2094 average rpm.
SL: 69-72 mph. Tightly spun, breaks late, great feel for the offering. T2218, 2153 average rpm.
CH: 71-74 mph. Showed depth, fades to arm side, good pitch in his mix. T1920, 1783 average rpm.

(Oak Grove, 2025) was solid on both sides of the ball last night as the Mississippi State commit saw action on the mound while picking up a couple of hits including a two run double. Miller's fastball sat 86-89 mph with jump while displaying a very solid breaking ball which should provide the third pitch he needs to go along with a plus change up. At the plate, the lefty hitter has slight loft to his swing, uses the whole field well and shows developing power.

Body: 6-2, 180-pounds.
Delivery: Solid tempo, with plenty of upside. Stride length could get longer.
Arm Action: LH. Long, loose action

Hits: LHH. Tall, slightly open stance with relaxed hands Small load and stride, Pull side pop with developing power. Good extension.

Defense: Good footwork and accuracy on throws. Upside at position.
