Prep Baseball Report in North Carolina has had the honor to run the North Carolina Baseball Coaches Association (NCBCA) Poll for each of the past 4 years. We are honored to continue this work on behalf of the NCBCA in 2022.
PBR has approximately 100 high school coaches from North Carolina, covering all classifications within the state on the voting board. These coaches are contacted each week of voting, asking them for their top teams in the NCHSAA A, AA, AAA, and AAAA, as well as their top 10 NCISAA teams. Coaches do not have to vote for each category and information was sent to coaches to give them some background on how teams have been playing throughout the state.
The PBR/NCBCA Poll is different from the PBR Power 25. The PBR Power 25 is compiled by PBR Scouts and the Power 25 encompasses all high school baseball teams in the state into one poll. The PBR/NCBCA is a poll where all the votes come from High School Coaches in North Carolina. PBR simply collects and tabulates the votes. The PBR/NCBCA poll will cover each NCHSAA classification and the NCISAA schools.
PBR is scheduled to release future PBR/NCBCA on April 19th, May 10th, and then at the conclusion of the season.
