With each season of the year, Prep Baseball scouts are working to identify and update notes on high school players from across the state of North Carolina.  While the fall season is short, and sees a lot of athletes turn their attention to football, there are still players being identified in each class.  Through tournament coverage, Fall ID events, and the Top Prospect Games, our scouting staff made some small adjustments, and added new names, to the 2025 NC Rankings.

The recruiting world has taken a massive shift in the past year with new roster rules and scholarship alottments present at the Division I level.  Add that to the already congested space due to the Transfer Portal affect and high school players can feel the squeeze of working to find their place at the next level. Over the past 7 years, North Carolina has averaged 400-450 seniors committing to play college baseball.  In each of those years, more than 50% of the players that commit, do so after the November signing period begins.  Inside we look at 5 uncommitted players from each position that could impact roster upon their arrival at the next level.

The Prep Baseball Scouting staff will begin its spring coverage with our Preseason IDs, Preseason All-State events, and the North Carolina ProCase. Players from these showcases will drive the early outings of high school coverage as our scouting staff will look to see over 400 high school games in North Carolina again this spring.  We hope to see several of the names below at the 2025 ProCase.
