PITCHERS

Wesley Buck LHP / South Stokes, NC / 2021

Physical presence with broad shoulder and strength in the lower half, standing 6-foot-4, 175 pounds.  Fastball up to 83, sitting 81-82 from a quick arm.  Tight 1/7 spin on the breaking ball at 71-72, landing it with regularity.  Good change-up with hand speed and fade at 73.  Physical size and arm speed suggest more is coming.  Good leverage on most pitches throughout the bullpen.  Some hip coil leading to balance.  Kick to the belt, slightly stiff in the calf.  Works on-line, landing slightly across his line and square.  Good extension.  Long arm swing, slightly laid off in the back, working to a position of strength with the arm at the cocked phase.  Over-the-top slot.  Downhill plane.

Casey Graham RHP / OF / Forbush, NC / 2021

Average build at 5 foot 9, 155-pounds.  Simple delivery.  Stable head.  Kick to the low chest.  Works level, on-line, landing in-line and square.  Long arm swing, with looseness to a high-3/4 slot.  Good extension.  Fastball at 76-78.  Occasional run.  Pounded the zone with fastball.  Breaking ball ranged 67-69, occasional sharp tilt.  Good feel, landing it consistently with 11/5 break.  Breaking ball should allow the fastball to play a tick up.
Offensively, balanced setup from the right side with a strong base.  Small load with his weight working slight back with short stride and some wrist cock. Barrel works short to the ball, looking to stay inside the ball.  Gap to gap approach with average bat speed and some feel for his barrel.  Exit velocity recorded at 81 mph.  Plays athletically through balls in the outfield with average hands.  Clean transfers with a long, loose arm action, throwing from a high ¾ slot.  Some accuracy to his throws that topped at 80 mph.  Recorded a 7.12 in the 60.

Mason Little RHP / SS / Uwharrie Charter, NC / 2021

Lanky frame at 6 foot 2, 165-pounds.  Slight tuck at balance with a kick to the mid-chest.  Works on-line, landing square.  Low front side.  Long arm swing, with looseness to a high-3/4 slot.  Head clears the line on release.  Fastball at 75-78.  Early action on a 2-seam fastball with arm side run.  Occasionally cuts the fastball to his glove side.  Breaking ball has gradual 11/5 tilt at 65-68.   Landed the fastball and breaking ball with consistency.  Misses with the fastball were to the arm side.  Flashed a change-up at 68 with similar hand speed to the fastball.
Offensively, balanced, relaxed setup form the right side of the plate.  Smooth load with his weight and hands working back with a short stride.  Looseness in the swing with a flat barrel path through the zone.  Gets extension working middle to his pull side.  Some feel for the barrel with his exit velocity recorded at 87 mph.  Looks to work around the ball with his feet on the infield.  Average hands catching the ball deep at times.  Funnels to his midsection after catch with clean transfers, and short arm action, throwing from a high ¾ to 3/4 slot.  Arm topped at 77 mph across the diamond.  Recorded a 7.36 in the 60.

Evan Suarez LHP / OF / Oak Grove, NC / 2021

Wide shoulders in 6 foot 3, 180-pound build.  Plenty of room to continue to add strength.  Kick to the mid-chest, loading the back side.  Uphill leverage through the shoulders.  Falls to the front side, landing on-line and square.  Long arm action, reaching out of the glove and working to an over-the-top slot.  Fastball at 75-77.  Around the zone with misses to the glove side.  Breaking ball at 64-67.  Slow 1/7 shape.  Around the plate with the spin pitch while working out of a similar window to that of the fastball.  Slows the arm some on a change-up at 70.  Frame suggests more strength and arm speed is coming.  Good leverage that could create intrigue with another jump in stuff.
Left hand hitter with a balanced setup.  Average stride with his shoulders turning in to the plate during the load.  Uphill bat path with strength in his swing.  Some stiffness in the hands. Works mostly to his pull side with average bat speed.  Exit velocity recorded at 78 mph.  Works through balls in the outfield with average hands, clean exchanges and a long arm action, throwing form a high ¾ slot.  Some accuracy to his throws that topped at 78 mph.  Recorded a 7.62 in the 60.
