Commitment Tracker: Cummings to Campbell; App St Spotlight

The North Carolina Commitment Tracker will be a weekly blog to track players and programs through the recruiting process.  Each week we will look players that have pledged their commitment with back ground on select players and their process.  We will also look total commitment numbers across the state and profile select schools as they work to complete their 2019 class.

In early August, PBR held several events at Campbell University, one of which was  a PBR Scout Day with the Rawlings Prospects.  While the Rawlings Prospects program has several names to follow, one to zero in on after the day was Ty Cummings (SS/RHP, Corinth Holders HS, 2020).  A long, rangy athlete, Cummings has easy actions at shortstop with good carry at 82 mph across the diamond.  On the mound, Cummings bumped 88 from a high-3/4 slot with heavy sink at times.  This week, Cummings accepted an offer he received shortly after the workout, committing to attend Campbell University.
