Wayne Country Day  0 Charlotte Christian  6

The defending 2A NCISAA State Champions, Wayne Country Day, visited the defending 4A NCISAA State Champions, Charlotte Christian, on Friday night.  The Knights pushed across 5 runs in the 1st and never looked back as 4 arms worked a shutout.

In the 1st, Charlotte Christian worked 4 walks and had 3 consecutive singles from Habluetzel, Beard, and Joseph to plate 5 runs.  That would be more than enough for Knight Starting Pitcher Calver Clark who worked 4 innings punching 8 in the win.  The 4 Knight arms only allowed 2 hits and did not walk a hitter, while punching 11.
