Ting Park in Holly Springs, NC hosted the South Atlantic Border Battle this past weekend, featuring some of the best high school players from NC, SC, VA, MD, DE, and DC.  Prep Baseball Report of North Carolina was on hand to take in the games and workouts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.  Players were hand picked to attend and assigned to teams coached by area MLB Scouts.

Friday night featured the Underclass Game with players in the 2021 and 2022 graduating classes.  The New York Mets and New York Yankees sponsored the Futures North and Futures South teams.  Each team took a full batting practice, followed by a pro-style infield/outfield session.  The nine inning game was played in a modified fashion, working to control pitch counts while still giving college coaches and pro scouts in attendance and glimpse at each player.

Players ranging from Pennsylvania to South Carolina represented the two teams for the underclass game.  The players from North Carolina represented themselves, their program, and their state well on the day.  Below is a look at each player from North Carolina that participated in the South Atlantic Border Battle Underclass Game.

Underclass Game Pitcher Reports

Brandon Hudson, RHP, Cuthbertson HS, 2021
North Carolina State commit.  Lanky with long limbs, standing 6-foot-4, 175 pounds.  Seems to have plenty of projection left as he continues to mature and fill out the frame.
