Ledford Sweeps Salisbury, Winning in Different Ways

A highly anticipated series in the Central Carolina 2A Conference took place this Wednesday and Thursday with a home and home series between Ledford and Salisbury.  Ledford is the favorite to take the conference, but the up and coming Hornets of Salisbury have positioned themselves to be able to compete with anyone on their schedule.

Game one saw two big managerial moves that would have a big effect on the series.  While game one became a blow out early, Ledford was forced to their bullpen for a win in game 2 to take the series.

 

Game 1 - Wednesday

Game Recap:
Ledford plated 10 runs in the first and never looked back as the Panthers took game one of the 2 game series this week.

A ten run first inning was capped by 2 out, 2 run home run from scheduled starting pitcher Chris Villaman. After Villaman's big fly, Salisbury was able to close the inning. When Ledford took the field for the bottom of the 1st, Villaman
