Most Viewed in NC - No. 2 Samuel Cozart

Samuel Cozart has been a high profile name in North Carolina since he was starring at the varsity level in the 8th grade.  Highly ranked in a loaded 2025 class, Cozart has continued to create buzz with outings throughout the high school season, as well as performances on the big stage at LakePoint in the PBR NPI Tournament, featuring the top programs in the country with teams participating at each age level for a week of high end baseball.

Scout Notes -- 06.09.22 (NPI)
Cozart, the top right-hander in the 2025 class, got the ball for South Charlotte Panthers in the first game of the tournament, and more than lived up to the big billing. He ended up going 4.1 innings on just 56 pitches allowing two hits and striking out 11. The 6-foot-4, 210-pound right-hander was up over 92 mph with the fastball, working in and out while bullying hitters early in counts. He showed some aptitude for spin, dropping in a curveball with more depth at 69-72, and a short, sharper slider at 79-80 to put hitters away. Cozart pounded the zone throughout, and looked to finish hitters when ahead. Mississippi State recruit.
