McMichael  -  0                Rockingham County  -  2

(TUE 3/10)  Coby Ingle had a night to remember firing a perfect game in the home win over McMichael.  Ingle faced 21 hitters in his 7 innings of work, throwing 69 pitches, 56 of which were strikes.  Of the 21 hitters faced, Ingle threw first pitch strikes to 20.  For the game, Ingle did not surrender a baserunner while striking out 12.

The Cougars got on the board in the 3rd with a leadoff walk.  After a SAC Bunt moving the runner to 2B, Ethan Beville advanced to 3B and scored on the same passed ball.  The 4th inning saw Lucas Cain single with one out.  He later scored on a passed ball as well.  Those two runs would be all Ingle would need for the night.

For McMichael, Jackson Kirkpatrick would become the tough luck loser, working a complete game, striking out 12 in his outing.

In the 3rd, Green Hope used a Walk, Sac Bunt where the runners were safe, and another walk to load the bases.  Cary answered with two quick outs, keeping the runners in place, but with two outs, Danny Heintz singled in Marq’Tavius McIntrye for the lead.

Green Hope extended the lead in the 5th with three runs.  Peyton Green tripled home Parker Buchanan.  Four of the next five hitters would walk, creating the scoring opportunity and putting the game away.
