Preseason All State I Player Evals: 2021 & 2022 Position Players

Positional Profile: C/1B
Body: 6-2, 190-pounds. Athletic frame, strength present.
Defense: 2.01-2.29 pop times. Clean transfers across his midsection, feet gain ground to target, average hands receiving.
Arm: R. C - 72 mph. Accurate, short arm action, high 3/4 slot.
Hit: R. Upright, even base, relaxed. Short stride into the plate, small hand load back.  Quick hands, short to ball, barrel stays through the zone, can drive the ball to his pull side with barrel feel and the ability to shoot balls the other way.
Power: 90 exit velocity. Above average bat speed.
Run: 7.87 runner in the 60. 

Positional Profile: 2B/OF
Body: 5-11, 155-pounds. Thin frame, room to add strength.
Defense: OF-Athletic through the ball, relaxed hands, catches the ball in front of his left foot, clean transfers. IF-Athletic, feet work around the ball, soft hands, funnels to the midsection, clean transfers.
Arm: R. INF - 83 mph. OF - 85 mph. OF-Accurate, long arm action, high 3/4 slot. IF-Loose arm, quickness through high 3/4 slot, accurate.
Hit: R. Open base, hands at back shoulder. Short stride to even, hands load back.  Fast hands, direct path to the ball, level through the zone, high two hand finish, gap to gap approach with lots of balls off the barrel.
Power: 89 exit velocity  Average to above bat speed.
Run: 7.44 runner in the 60. 

Positional Profile: 3B/OF
Body: 5-9, 145-pounds. Average frame, room to add strength.
Defense: Active feet, catches the ball left of center, better than average hands, clean exchanges at his chest.
Arm: R. INF - 75 mph. Accurate, short arm action, high 3/4 slot.
Hit: R. Even base, more weight on the back leg, slightly uphill shoulder, hands at back shoulder. Loads knee to knee, average stride.  Balanced, quick hands, direct barrel path, mostly flat through the zone, barreled balls to both gaps.
Power: 88 exit velocity. Average to above bat speed.
Run: 7.71 runner in the 60. 

Positional Profile: C/OF
Body: 5-10, 160-pounds. Thin frame, athleticism present, room to add strength.
Defense: 2.25-2.33 pop times. OF-Aggressive through the ball, fluid feet, relaxed hands, catches the ball in front of his left foot, clean transfers. C-Quick feet, clean exchanges across his midsection, average hands receiving.
Arm: R. C - 72 mph. OF - 75 mph. OF-Accurate, long arm action, over the top slot. C-Short arm action, over the top slot, some feel for the second base bag.
Hit: R. Tall, narrow, even base, hands back above back shoulder. Small leg kick, average stride, hands cock while loading down.  Hands have quickness, direct barrel path, gets extension out front, middle of the field approach.
Power: 84 exit velocity. Above average bat speed, can drive the ball when body stays behind the ball.
Run: 7.15 runner in the 60.

Body: 6-5, 225-pounds. Large frame, strength present.
Defense: Active feet, has bend to his hips, relaxed hands, clean exchanges.
Arm: R. INF - 77 mph. Accurate, short arm action, high 3/4 slot.
Hit: R. Balanced, feet shoulder width, hands above back shoulder, barrel angled behind head. Smooth load, short stride, quiet barrel.  Loose, controlled swing, short to ball, connected through contact, barrel stays through the zone, consistent barrels working gap to gap.
Power: 97 exit velocity.  Loud BP, consistent hard contact lining balls through the middle, plenty of bat speed.
Run: 7.05 runner in the 60. 

Positional Profile: 3B/SS
Body: 6-0, 187-pounds. Strong build.
Defense:  pop times. Feet work around the ball, catches the ball near center, some stiffness to his hands at times, clean exchanges.
Arm: R.INF - 79 mph. Accurate, short arm action, over the top slot.
Hit: R. Balanced and relaxed, even athletic base, barrel flat over back shoulder. Fluid load, short stride, hands go slightly back, barrel lifts off shoulder.  Fast, strong hands, compact turn through the ball, short path to ball, barrel stays through with some lift out front, barreled balls through the middle of the field.
Power: 98 exit velocity. Lots of hard contact in BP, strength and bat speed present.
Run: 7.39 runner in the 60. 

Positional Profile: C/3B
Body: 5-10, 185-pounds. Strong build, quickness present.
Defense: 2.04-2.16 pop times. Feet have quickness, quick, clean transfers across his chest, has hip mobility, average to above hands receiving.
Arm: R. C - 77 mph. Short arm action, over the top slot, down hill throws with feel for the second base bag.
Hit: R. Even base, shoulder width, chest over toes, hands just above back shoulder. Toe tap, short stride, hands get back.  Quick hands, lower half drives through the ball, uphill swing path, big shoulder turn through finish, consistently barreled balls through the middle and to his pull side.
Power: 103 exit velocity.  Loud BP, has juice with a ton of hard contact, above average bat speed.
Run: 7.55 runner in the 60. 

Positional Profile: OF/3B
Body: 5-9, 130-pounds. Thin frame, quickness present.
Defense:  Fluid actions, relaxed hands, catches the ball in front of his left foot, clean transfers.
Arm: R. OF - 83 mph. Accurate with some carry, arm has quickness through a high 3/4 slot.
Hit: R. Balanced, even base, feet shoulder width, hands above back shoulder. Short stride, quiet barrel.  Balanced, direct barrel path to ball staying flat through the zone, gets extension out front, some hand quickness, lined balls to his pull side.
Power: 85 exit velocity.  Average bat speed, numbers should improve with added strength.
Run: 6.99 runner in the 60.

Hit: R. Balanced, slightly open base, hands at back shoulder. Smooth load, small leg lift, short stride, hands go slightly back.  Quick hands, compact swing, short to ball, barrel stays through the zone, hit several balls off the barrel, can use the whole field.
Power: 85 exit velocity. Above average bat speed.
Run: 7.67 runner in the 60.

Defense: 2.34-2.40 pop times. Feet gain ground to target, transfers across his midsection, average hands receiving.
Arm: R. C - 73 mph. Short arm action, over the top slot, some feel for accuracy.
Hit: R. Upright, open base, feet shoulder width, hands at back shoulder. Short stride to even, hands go slightly back, more vertical barrel.  Quick hands, big turn through the ball, barrel stays inside the ball with lift to the swing path, will use the whole field.
Power: 95 exit velocity. Above average bat speed, hard contact in BP, has pop to the right center gap.
Run: 8.08 runner in the 60. 

Positional Profile: OF/LHP
Body: 5-9, 150-pounds. Athletic build, quickness present.
Defense: Athletic through the ball, soft hands, catches the ball in front of his right foot, clean transfers.
Arm: L.OF - 78 mph. Medium arm action, high 3/4 slot, some accuracy.
Hit: R. Narrow, even base, hands at back shoulder, upright barrel. Loads against back leg, average stride, hands go slightly back.  Hands are strong and quick, compact turn through the ball, barrel stays through the zone, works through the middle of the field.
Power: 92 exit velocity. Above average bat speed.
Run: 6.84 runner in the 60.
