Prep Baseball Report is committed to bringing the news of amateur baseball to our readers and subscribers.  Throughout the year PBR's staff will report on players, teams, events, tournaments, the draft, and general baseball news.  With the setup of PBR being a "boots on the ground" approach, with scouts in states and territories, allowing the ability to skew reports and news to the readers of that area.  Below we take a look at some of the top stories of 2020, based on web site views and social media popularity.

No. 9 Top Story of 2020 -- Power 25

The Power 25 entered its second year in 2020.  Designed to feature the top high school teams in the state, regardless of affiliation, the Power 25 continued to gain traction.  As with most polls and lists, the Power 25 created a lot of talk and some dissension.

PBR Scouts would get together every other week during the high school season to go through, and rank, the top high school teams in North Carolina.  Always a fun conference call and process, there was always disagreement within the room, during the process.  With that said, we knew there would be disagreement and discussion each week as the Power 25 was released.

The Power 25 was controlled and voted on by PBR scouts in North Carolina.  PBR of NC also helps to run the NCBCA / PBR Coaches Poll.  Released every other week as well, the Coaches Poll was voted on by NC HS coaches.  PBR just compiles and releases the Coaches Poll.

Below are some notes from 2020 in regards to the Power 25.
