Chris Villaman LHP / OF / Ledford, NC / 2019

The 6 feet 2, 185-pound North Carolina State commit and No. 1 ranked player in the 2019 Class helped lead Ledford to the State Finals this year. The athletic left hander has a loose, quick arm and deceptive delivery that he repeats well. His fastball has been up to 93 mph with life and he has shown the ability to pound the zone with it. He features a sweeping curveball with depth that he throws with ease at 74-76 mph. He also throws a changeup at 73-77 mph with sink. He shows good feel for both is secondary pitches and the ability to throw them for strikes. With his athleticism and easy arm action he projects to throw even harder in the future. Look for him to be followed closely over the next year.
