Uncommitted Upperclass Prospect ID: Quick Hitters-Position Players

On Saturday March 28th PBR of NC held its Uncommitted Upperclass Prospect ID along with a Future Games ID at Big League Camp in Marion, NC. The Uncommitted Upperclass Prospect ID featured players from the 2021-2022 grad classes. Big League Camp is a beautiful facility located next to Lake James that features an all turf baseball field with a spacious indoor facility.
Pitchers and catchers got the day started with catchers going through their defensive workout followed by pitchers throwing their bullpens. Trackman was used during the bullpens to gather advanced analytics on each arm. After the bullpens position players ran a laser timed 60 followed by outfielders and infielders going through their defensive workout. BP was set to take place on the field but had to be moved indoors due to thunderstorms and heavy rain in the area. Trackman was used during BP to gather ball flight information.
Throughout the workout, PBR scouts were taking metrics on players while evaluating their complete skill set. Featured below are notes once Uncommitted Upperclass Prospect ID position players.

Quick Hitters-Position Players
Andrew Colaizzi, 1B/3B, 2021
Physical presence at 6-foot-4, 245-pounds. Has pop to the right center gap with his top exit velocity at 93..03 mph. Barrel stays inside the ball and works uphill through the zone getting extension out front. Better than average bat speed.
Larson Scholtz, RHP/OF, 2022
Strong and athletic at 6-foot-5, 225-pounds. Drove balls gap to gap during his BP rounds. Bat speed is better than average with the ball off his bat peaking at 100.02 mph. Hands have quickness and strength. Arm has carry from the outfield topping at 90 mph. Ran a 7.08 in the laser timed 60.
Fabian Walker, LHP/OF, 2022
Thin, athletic frame at 5-foot-11, 157-pounds with room to add strength. Switch hitter with better than average feel for his barrel. Balanced with a line drive approach working through the middle of the field. Top exit velocity recorded at 90.19 mph. Fluid actions in the outfield with an accurate arm. Ran a 6.87 laser timed 60.
John Miller, OF/2B, 2022
Hits from the left side with a line drive approach working through the middle and to the opposite field gap. Short path to the ball with better than average barrel feel. Fluid actions defensively with accuracy and carry to his throws. Posted a 7.28 in the 60.
Ryan Fox, RHP/1B, 2022
Strength present in his 6-foot-3, 190-pound frame. Flat barrel path through the zone with a middle of the middle approach and some quickness to his hands. Top exit velocity recorded at 85.60 mph. Accurate arm from the outfield.
Seth Billings, RHP/OF, 2021
Large frame at 6-foot-1, 230-pounds. Hands have strength with better than average bat speed. Uphill barrel path through the zone working to center and right center. Top exit velocity recorded at 94.77 mph.
