2025 is here and what an exciting year it has the chance to be.  From a talent standpoint, this may be the deepest pool of talent the state of North Carolina has seen in Prep Baseball's 7 years of coverage.  There are high end draft prospects in both the 2025 and 2026 classes with talent that will be pushing similar accolades in the 2027 and 2028 classes.  The disperson of talent will keep things very interesting throughout 2025 as players and teams strive for state championships and big rewards on the club circuit.

As we head to 2025, we begin by looking back at 2024. Prep Baseball ran events in North Carolina to identify players and extend its scouting coverage.  Events began in January and February, the Preseason IDs and the Preseason All-State events. After the high school season the Team Carolina Trials, NC/SC Border Battle, and Organizational Scout Days led to players gaining invites to play for Team NC at the Prep Baseball Future Games, Sr. Future Games, and Jr. Future Games.  Players also had the chance to compete at the Summer Top Prospect Games.  Rolling into the fall season, Prep Baseball scouts saw more athletes with evaluations at Fall ID events and more Organizational Scout Days.  All of the evaluations culminated with the Upperclass and Underclass Top Prospect Games in early November.

At every event, Prep Baseball scouts are working to put full evaluations on the players in attendance.  With the use of TrackMan, Blast Motion, and Vald Performance the scouting staff is able to collect stats and advanced analytics on every swing, pitch, and throw.  Athletic testing includes run times, height, weight, jump measurements, and grip strength.  The stats are verified and the most trusted information in amateur baseball in the country, now expanding to the world with Prep Baseball's growth.

Below are look back at 2024. First up is the exit velocity stat.  Exit velociites are taken during BP sessions.  Typically players will get multiple rounds of BP with TrackMan tracking every ball put into fair territory.  The exit velocity is measuring how hard the ball comes off the barrel.
