November brings the signing period. It is a very exciting time for seniors that have made their pledge and it can be a time filled with some anxiety for those still in the search. Throughout the month, prospects in North Carolina were very active with a total of 16 prospects that attended a Prep Baseball event in 2024 making their pledge.

While the signing period is a time of excitement, we still have a long way to go before college coaches turn the page on the 2025 class. Typically the senior class in NC will see somewhere between 400-450 college commitments. In the 2025 class, Prep Baseball has tracked 232 commitments within NC. We are only about half way if the numbers hold up with the new recruiting principals in place.

College Eyes Turn to College Commits

The NC/SC Border Battle and the Top Prospect Games in North Carolina continue to draw a lot of attention from college coaches. The two events are leaders in the number of player views, video views, and stat page views throughout the summer and fall. As coaches are continuing to work on their upcoming roster, they continue to turn their attention to the stats, analytics and video available on players of interest. The Team NC events give these coaches a chance to view workout information as well as gain some insight from game play against other high end players in NC.

Committed to Central Florida

The top ranked player in NC withdrew his commitment to Miami during the summer, taking visits to top schools in the southeast. He landed on Central Florida and will be planning to head to Orlando as he finishes up his high school career.

The inaugural Sr. Future Games was a huge success. Another player from Team Mid-Atlantic, featuring players from NC, VA, and MD came off the board as Vinny Lee from Pro5 Baseball made his pledge.

Team Carolina Trials Continues to Shine

The Team Carolina Trials are a group of summer open ID events, working to highlight talent for the Border Battle, Top Prospect Games, and Future Games. Drawing some of the top talent in NC, the events drew a lot of attention to player profiles. As coaches worked to see players they knew were attending, they had the chance to see the numbers and video on a plethora of players that can make an impact at the next level.

These players attended a Team Carolina Trials in 2024.
