The Prep Baseball North Carolina Power 25 was updated on Monday March 24th.  While still early in the season, there are teams beginning to pull away from others as potential championship contenders. Below we break down the most recently updated Power 25 with a team by team recap, plus a look at teams just missing the cut.

North Carolina Power 25: March 24 Update

1. TC Roberson (9-1)

TC Roberson continues to dominate, extending their winning streak to six games after a strong 5-0 performance over the past two weeks. Key wins include victories over Charlotte Christian and Burns, with their only loss coming to Parkview (GA).

2. Metrolina Christian (11-0)

Metrolina Christian remains unbeaten, boasting an 11-game winning streak. The team secured dominant victories over Hickory Grove and Gaston Christian.

3. Ashley (10-0)

Ashley remains undefeated with a 10-0 start, winning all six of their games in Weeks 3 and 4. Their impressive resume includes wins over Corinth Holders, New Hanover, and Broughton, with no blemishes on their record so far.

4. Charlotte Catholic (9-2)

Charlotte Catholic had a strong two weeks, going 6-1 and winning seven of their last eight games. Their only losses have come against Providence and South Mecklenburg.  The South Meck loss was game 4 of a 4 game week.

5. DH Conley (7-1)

DH Conley continues its strong start, riding a five-game winning streak after a 3-0 record in Week 3. Despite an early loss to Holly Springs, they remain one of the top teams in the state.

6. Charlotte Christian (11-3)

Charlotte Christian put together a solid 4-3 stretch in the past two weeks, challenging themselves with a very difficult schedule to start the year. Key victories over Weddington and Wesleyan Christian Academy highlight their resume, though they suffered a loss to Charlotte Catholic.

7. Grace Christian (9-2)

Grace Christian posted a 5-1 record over the last two weeks, with quality wins over Covenant Day and Burlington Christian Academy. Their only loss came against The Miller School (VA).

8. Wake Forest (10-0)

Wake Forest surged into the top ten with a perfect 10-0 record, highlighted by victories over JH Rose and Leesville Road. With no losses on their record, they are one of the most consistent teams this season.

9. JH Rose (7-1)

JH Rose has bounced back well after an early loss to Wake Forest, stringing together five consecutive wins. Their key victory against Hoggard keeps them in the top ten with a bulk of their schedule still ahead of them.

10. Corinth Holders (7-2)

Corinth Holders has won three of their last four games.  The best win to date is over Cardinal Gibbons.  The schedule has been solid to this point. Their only recent loss was to top-ranked Ashley.

11. Burns (10-2)

Burns continues to be a force, winning five of their last six games. Key victories include a dominant win over South Pointe, while their only losses have come against TC Roberson and Tuscola.  The Tuscola loss on Friday was in extra innings.  Look for Burns to take a step forward as they get Colby Putnam back to full strength.

12. Covenant Day (9-1)

Covenant Day is on a seven-game winning streak, including a six-win performance in Weeks 3 and 4. Notable wins include Wesleyan Christian Academy, while their only loss came against Grace Christian.  A recent trip to SC came up fruitful as the Lions continue to play at a high level.

13. South Central (6-2)

South Central has put together a strong start, winning five of their last six games. Key victories include a win over Heritage, though they suffered losses to Bunn and DH Conley.  The Falcons will be tested in the coming weeks.

14. West Forsyth (8-2)

West Forsyth has bounced back in dominant fashion, winning five straight games after an early 1-2 start. A key victory over Hough keeps them trending in the right direction.

15. Cuthbertson (10-0)

Cuthbertson enters the rankings with a perfect 10-0 record. Their resume includes impressive wins over Ardrey Kell and West Stanly, with no losses on their record.

16. East Rutherford (9-0)

East Rutherford continues to dominate, remaining unbeaten with a 9-0 record. They have outscored opponents consistently, with key wins over Brevard and Crest.

17. Marvin Ridge (7-2)

Marvin Ridge is off to a solid start, winning five of their last six games. A key victory over Ardrey Kell highlights their resume, while their only recent loss was to Hough.  This week the Mavs get 3 games with No. 15 Cuthbertson.

18. Reagan (9-2)

Reagan has been one of the hottest teams in the state, winning eight of their last nine games. Key victories include Wesleyan Christian Academy, while their only losses came against Ledford and New Hanover.

19. Terry Sanford (7-3)

Terry Sanford had a solid showing in Weeks 3 and 4, winning five of their last six games. A loss to Overhills sits on the record now.  Look for the Bulldogs to begin to get on a roll if they are going to meet their high expectations for 2025.

20. West Johnston (8-3)

West Johnston has been solid, winning three of their last four games. Key victories include wins over Orange and Cape Fear, though they suffered a tough loss to Garner.

21. Providence (7-1)

Providence enters the rankings with a strong 7-1 record, including four consecutive wins. Notable victories include Charlotte Catholic and Weddington, though they suffered one loss to Charlotte Catholic earlier in the season.

22. Weddington (6-2)

Weddington is on a five-game winning streak after a slow start. Their resume includes a quality win over Hickory Grove, though they suffered losses to Providence and Charlotte Christian.

23. Wesleyan Christian (3-6)

Despite a tough record, Wesleyan Christian has won two of their last three games. One of the toughest early season schedules in the state was highlighted by an opening trip to AL to open the year where the Trojans played several teams with 10+ games under their belt. Mix that in with losses to Charlotte Christian, Reagan and Covenant Day, all in the Power 25, and the Trojans will be battle tested by the end of the year.

24. Gaston Christian (3-1)

Gaston Christian has won three of their last four games, including a solid victory over Southlake Christian. Their only loss came against top-ranked Metrolina Christian.  A light schedule, in terms of number of games is scheduled to pick up over the next couple of weeks.

25. Millbrook (9-2)

Millbrook rounds out the rankings with a strong 9-2 record, including wins over Ragsdale and Broughton. Despite a loss to Leesville Road, they remain they have continued to create pressure with a deep lineup.
