Most Viewed Players in 2024: No. 1

Riley Cuddy OF / RHP / GRACE Christian, NC / 2026

Players on the Prep Baseball platform can gain exposure in various ways. Top-rated players, standout performers at events or tournaments, and even those who have gone viral—sometimes for non-baseball reasons—can see significant increases in their player profile views. In 2024, Prep Baseball recorded over 13.4 million player profile views, with Riley Cuddy, a junior at Grace Christian Academy in Sanford, NC, leading all players in North Carolina.

Cuddy had an exceptional year. His event performances, particularly his power output, captivated audiences. BP sessions were loud and explosive, drawing attention from players, coaches, and fans alike. TrackMan data showcased impressive metrics, leading to crowds gathering around the iPads to witness the sheer power and distance of his rounds. These standout numbers caught the eyes of college coaches, baseball enthusiasts, and other prospects. With a bat as impactful as his, it’s no surprise Cuddy garnered so much attention.

The year kicked off for Cuddy at the Preseason All-State East event, where the right-handed hitter broke the 100 mph threshold, reaching an event-leading 105.7 mph exit velocity. He also topped the field with a projected maximum distance of 392 feet during batting practice. These power statistics earned Cuddy a spot on the follow list for Team NC at the prestigious Prep Baseball Future Games.

After a solid spring season at Middle Creek High School, Cuddy began his summer with C35 (now Power Baseball NC). His summer started strong with a standout performance at the Prep Baseball 16U National Championships. Throughout the summer, his profile continued to draw views as highlights of his at-bats and home runs gained traction on social media.

At the Team Carolina Trials East (TCT East), Cuddy secured his position on Team NC for the Prep Baseball Future Games. This premier event, the largest uncommitted underclass showcase in the country, attracted over 400 college coaches in 2024. The TCT East at Campbell University featured a favorable tailwind, amplifying Cuddy’s already impressive power. Several of his long drives landed on Campbell’s indoor hitting facility beyond right field, stopping the event in its tracks as attendees turned to watch his remarkable display.

Accepting his invitation to the Future Games, Cuddy quickly made a national impact. On the workout day, he led all participants from every territory with a maximum exit velocity of 109.2 mph. This eye-popping statistic was shared quickly, and in Team NC’s first game against Team SC, a large group of college coaches eagerly watched as Cuddy took his first at-bats.

Throughout the week, Cuddy demonstrated his ability to adapt and make adjustments. When he connected with the barrel, his power was undeniable. Facing some of the best arms in the country, Cuddy showcased a strategic approach, adjusting to a steady diet of sliders and fewer fastballs. By the third game, he effectively countered the opposition’s strategy, driving two balls to the opposite gap. While his power stood out, his adaptability and confidence in his skills were perhaps the most impressive aspects of his performance.

Following the Future Games, Cuddy’s profile views continued to climb as Prep Baseball highlighted his achievements. Each article and video on hitting, power, and bat speed contributed to a surge in his profile activity, culminating in his commitment to William and Mary to pursue both academic and baseball aspirations.

With two years of high school baseball remaining, Cuddy is poised to attract even more attention on the Prep Baseball platform. The upcoming summer will be pivotal as he garners further interest from MLB scouts and solidifies his status as either a high-level college prospect or a legitimate MLB Draft contender for 2026.
