Giovanni Buccino 1B / RHP / West Forsyth, NC / 2027

There are a lot of ways to use information from attending a Prep Baseball event.  We saw Giovannie Buccino late in 2023 after he played well at the Fall Top Prospect Games.  After seeing his numbers and speaking to some of our scouting staff, Buccino was on a mission in 2024.  A physical presence with the ability to drive the baseball, Buccino became more athletic, adding quickness to his body, elevating his ability to find the barrel consistently.  The change was seen a bit in the Preseason All-State, but it was his summer that earned him a chance to represent North Carolina at the East Coast Super Sophomore Games.  He continued to improve his stock with a great day at the Top Prospect Games: Underclass to conclude 2024.

Tanner Ferguson SS / 3B / Pro5 Baseball Academy, NC / 2025

Physical and athletic, Ferguson profiles as a stable infielder with the chance to drive the baseball.  He opened up his 2024 by atteding the Preseason All-State.  His performance, along with his continued development into the spring earned him an invite to represent North Carolina at the Sr. Future Games.  Shortly after the event, Ferguson committed to Mount Olive.

Kellen Rogers SS / OF / Wake Forest, NC / 2027

Wake Forest HS has turned out several high level middle infielders, and prospects, in the past couple of years.  Rogers looks to be the next in that line with athleticism, speed, good hand-eye coordination, and the ability to drive the baseball from the left side.  He will be an interesting follow as he does so many things at a high level now, with a frame that suggests he is just scratching what could be his ultimate ceiling.  His work at the NC/SC Border Battle earned him an invite to the East Coast Super Sophomore Games where he represented Team NC with other top 2027 players from the state.

Vincent Lee 2B / SS / Pro5 Baseball Academy , NC / 2025

A player that seems to light up our scouting rooms when we are talking about prospects, Lee is fun to watch.  A high level defender that plays with a great motor, he is fun to watch on the field.  Attending the Preseason All-State had our scouting staff begin to push his potential.  His work at the NC/SC Border Battle earned him an invite to the inaugural Sr. Future Games at LakePoint.  His athleticism and ability to be a "baseball player" drew rave reviews from the staff running Team Mid-Atlantic and numerous coaches in attendance.  Lee committed to Belmont-Abbey shortly after the Sr. Future Games.

Meridian Leffew SS / 3B / Gaston Christian, NC / 2026

The top ranked player in the 2026 class had a big 2024.  He opened the year with a high level performance at the Preseason All-State.  Into the spring, Leffew re-opened his recruiting process, eventually committed to Central Florida.  His play on the field earned him an opportunity to workout with Team USA as they are beginning to eye their 2025 18U National Team.
