The Super60 stands as the premier preseason draft event in the country. Leveraging its extensive network of scouts nationwide, Prep Baseball assembles a select group of the nation’s top high school seniors, providing Major League Baseball scouts with an early opportunity to evaluate elite talent. Traditionally featuring over 60 of the highest-rated seniors, this event serves as a critical platform for players to enhance their draft stock and visibility among both regional and national scouts.

Hosted at The Max in Chicago, IL, the event begins with comprehensive athletic testing for position players. The facility’s full infield space and expansive outfield—allowing throws of over 250 feet—create an optimal setting for player evaluations. A dedicated running track enables athletes to record official 60-yard dash times using laser timing technology, with multiple splits capturing in-depth speed metrics. Additionally, players undergo jump testing and grip strength assessments, forming a complete athletic profile.

During batting practice, players have the opportunity to showcase their offensive skills in a setup designed for comprehensive evaluation. With balls traveling over 180 feet before encountering any barriers, scouts can observe the full trajectory of each hit. TrackMan technology collects precise ball flight data off the bat, while BLAST Motion records swing metrics in real time. Players participate in multiple rounds of batting practice, allowing for a thorough assessment of their hitting ability.

The defensive portion of the event has evolved from a traditional showcase format into a more structured workout environment. Infielders and outfielders engage in a series of game-like defensive drills, fielding balls in multiple directions and executing throws under simulated in-game conditions. By grouping players strategically, the session ensures a controlled pace, allowing each athlete to reset into a proper pre-pitch stance and demonstrate explosive first-step movements.

As on-field activities conclude, the work shifts to Prep Baseball’s scouting team. With real-time data, statistics, and advanced analytics streaming in, scouts conduct in-depth evaluations and break down performances to identify the top talent in attendance.
