Prep Baseball North Carolina continued its 2025 coverage with the Preseason ID. On Saturday January 25, the Prep Baseball scouting staff hosted players at USA Baseball Indoor Training Facilities. This setup provided an ideal environment for players to showcase their skills during the evaluation periods.

The Preseason ID events serve as a valuable opportunity for high school players to assess their progress as they approach the spring season. Participants can measure the effectiveness of their off-season training and its impact on their on-field potential. Additionally, these events enable players to update their Prep Baseball Player Profiles, connecting with over 1,000 college coaches and scouts who subscribe to Prep Baseball.

The Rising Stars event is designed for middle school players, offering an early introduction to the metrics, staff, and evaluation processes utilized by Prep Baseball. These young athletes represent the next wave of talent, and events like Rising Stars prepare them for future evaluations and competition.

Cooper Bolton RHP / C / Sanderson, NC / 2028 Shows good rhythm and tempo through delivery.  3/4 arm slot with arm speed present. Chance for 3 pitch mix and body continues to mature..

Davis Flaig OF / RHP / Millbrook, NC / 2027 3 pitch mix. OTT slot creates some deception in the delivery with a quick front half. FB IVB peaked at 22.6in.

Hayden Greene 1B / RHP / Garner, NC / 2026 Physical frame defined lower half. Showed good command of a  FB/BB combo. Splitter has chance to be a out pitch.

Christopher Johnson OF / LHP / Middle Creek, NC / 2028 Athletic lean frame. Showed ability to command FB to both sides of plate. Shows feel for change up with downward actions.

Caleb McLawhorn OF / RHP / DH Conley, NC / 2027 Simple repeatable delivery with good tempo. High OTT slot. 3 pitch mix with a feel for all 3 pitches. FB peaked at 78.4 MPH.

Andrew Mohler 3B / RHP / Cary, NC / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 153 / POS: 12 Stretch only- Loose athletic arm swing with good tempo in delivery.  FB/SL combo, slider spun up to 2360 rpms.

Wesley Mullen OF / RHP / Rolesville, NC / 2027 Explosive hips, Pronator.FB/CH combo show good H/M movement. Both peaked at over 20in of HM .

Tate Nelson SS / RHP / New Hanover, NC / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 77 / POS: 13 Long loose delivery with plus arm speed. Shows a 3 pitch mix with command in the zone. FB peaked at 84.6. Arm to watch

Tyler Sharp 1B / 3B / Millbrook, NC / 2028 Physical frame with lower half definition. Deception in the delivery lower release point. Shows feel for 3 pitches. FB peaked at 79.7 MPH.

Thomas Tart SS / 3B / Hobbton High, NC / 2028 Fluid delivery with easy rhythm. FB shows riding action, velo peaked at 75 MPH. BB shows good sweeping action, speak peaked at 2105 RPMs.

William Taylor OF / RHP / Needham Broughton, NC / 2029 Controlled delivery from a low 3/4 slot. FB shows riding action that peaked at 71.5 MPH. CH showed good arm speed with fading action avg H/M movement  was 16.6 in.
