Prep Baseball: Leading the Way in Amateur Baseball Scouting

Prep Baseball and its dedicated staff have consistently prioritized providing comprehensive coverage of amateur baseball at the state and local levels. Through a "boots on the ground" philosophy, Prep Baseball has established itself as the premier source of information on high school baseball players. By combining the expertise of scouts in each region with cutting-edge analytics tools such as TrackMan, Blast Motion, and VALD Athletics, Prep Baseball continues to set the standard for innovation and excellence in the field.

Recognizing the need to spotlight top uncommitted underclass players, the Prep Baseball team created a flagship event aimed at showcasing these athletes to college coaches nationwide. Initially launched in Indianapolis as a Midwest-focused event, it has since evolved into a national competition held at LakePoint in Emerson, GA. This event now features state-based teams from across the country, including the highly competitive Team NC. With North Carolina’s depth of talent, Team NC consistently impresses, providing college coaches with critical insights into uncommitted players.

The evolving landscape of college recruiting, influenced by changes in rules, the advent of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deals, and the increasing age of college rosters, underscored the growing number of top players who remain uncommitted by August 1 of their junior year. In response, Prep Baseball has elevated its premier event to meet this demand.

In 2024, Prep Baseball expanded its offerings with the introduction of the Senior Future Games. This new event complements the Future Games, which showcase rising juniors, by providing rising seniors with a similar opportunity to perform on an elite stage. Alongside the Junior Future Games for rising freshmen, the Senior Future Games meet a critical need for uncommitted players to gain exposure.

The inaugural Senior Future Games proved to be an outstanding success, featuring exceptional talent and providing these athletes with a valuable platform in a competitive recruiting landscape. With over 400 college coaches in attendance, rising seniors had a significant opportunity to secure roster spots at the next level.

This commitment to adapting and enhancing premier events highlights Prep Baseball’s dedication to supporting players, college coaches, and the broader baseball community. By maintaining a forward-thinking approach and a relentless drive to connect players with decision-makers, Prep Baseball remains the most trusted scouting organization in amateur baseball.

Through comprehensive player evaluations and accessible information for players, fans, coaches, and scouts alike, Prep Baseball continues to lead the charge in advancing the game. As the landscape of amateur baseball evolves, Prep Baseball’s commitment to innovation and excellence ensures it will remain the global standard in scouting and player development.
