Prep Baseball Nebraska Top Performers of 2024: Blast Metrics

Preparing to enter 2025, Prep Baseball Nebraska took an in-depth look at the stats accrued at our events throughout the year. 2024 has been an outstanding year for Prep Baseball Nebraska as we continue to assist baseball players in the state in ultimately finding their college destination by providing a platform to showcase their abilities and be seen and identified by multiple colleges nationwide. More than 900 colleges and pro teams subscribe to Prep Baseball services.
We’ve crunched all the data from the numerous events across the state in 2024, culminating in us identifying the top numbers accrued in multiple categories from our events. Though these numbers don’t reflect all the information and statistics we have documented through our boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, they do present an accurate overview of where each class stands as a whole currently.
Using sensor technology that fits on the knob of a bat, without impeding the player, Blast Motion collected data to analyze every hitter’s swing. During batting practice, the Blast Motion sensors measured Swing and Impact Metrics across several categories. Swing metrics measure pre-impact mechanics centered around plane, connection, and rotation while Impact metrics measure pre-impact performance outcomes based on ball contact.
