We would like to thank all who participated in The PBR New England 2020 Connecticut Future 50 - Class of 2024. This was a great opportunity for 2024 prospects to be put on college recruiting boards. Many players impressed during their individual workouts at the showcase. Below we have the complete statistical results from the event as well as the top performers across various different categories.

2020 Connecticut Future 50 - Class of 2024 - Quick Hits

  • James Fagnant- A left-handed hitter, balanced, level path, advanced approach for his age, sprayed the baseball all over the yard. The exit velocity was clocked at 79 mph, hard contact in both batting practice and in game play. Showed soft hands and good flow up the middle.
  • Nathan Bautista- A left-handed hitting catcher, even feet, level to up path, more of a pull approach, has pop to beat pull side outfielders. Looks and works relaxed behind the plate, arm at 64 mph, with a pop time of 2.20.
  • Bryce Meder- A right-handed hitter, balanced approach, level to up path, middle approach, hard contact, exit of 88 mph, baseball jumps. Worked a solid two-pitch mix from the right side, fastball low to mid 70’s and feel for the breaking ball. 
  • Michael Yeager- A right-handed hitter, hit 91 mph off the exit, middle to pull side approach. Large athletic frame with projectability to him. Showed a clean arm across the diamond with good actions. Big follow.
  • Connor Lane- A right-handed hitting catcher, had a pop time of 1.98, major feel behind the plate, strong secure hands on the catch. Showed hard contact in game play at the plate.
  • Trace Morales- A right-handed pitcher, mixed a two-pitch mix, fastball touching 77 mph, with feel for a slurvy breaker. At the plate, line stroke stroke, middle to pull side.
  • Joseph Tafro- A right-handed hitting outfielder, smaller, strong, quick twitch athlete, runs well, clocked at 7.37 sixty. The is short to contact, good in games swings.
  • Dylan Roy- A right-handed hitting middle infielder, even setup at the plate, plus bat speed, 88 mph exit, swing is compact and level through the zone. Showing a middle to pull side approach. Look for him to really hit at some point.
  • Nicolas Piscioniere- A right-handed hitting athlete that can play all over the field. Behind the plate he had a pop time 2.10-2.16, arm was 77 mph across the diamond, with plus flow for his age. At the plate, middle to pull side approach, runs well, ran a 7.16 sixty-yard dash.
  • Jake Jahnige- A left-handed hitter, closed off opposite approach, hands work through the zone freely. Defensively, clean actions, chance to be an offensive second baseman.
  • Bryan Guy- A long, lean athletic frame, with plenty of room for added weight. Balanced approach at the plate, line drives to pull side. Off the mound, he showed a clean whippy arm action, needs to track longer to plate.
  • Matthew McDowell- A physical, left-handed hitter, level to up path, showing above average power to pull side, 82 mph off the bat. Long strider, ran a 7.66 sixty-yard dash. Off the mound, loose, whippy arm, fastball touching 76 mph, look for him to pitch with velocity at some point. 
  • Jayden Novak- A right-handed hitting catcher, strong hands behind the plate, pop time of 2.03-2.16, arm was clocked at 68 mph, arm is clean, quick transfer. At the plate, simple balanced approach, even feet, short swing to contact, hard contact in batting practice.
  • Michael Prestash- A right-handed hitting outfielder/middle infielder. Shows strong hands at the plate, pop to pull side with line drives, exit velocity of 79 mph. From the outfield threw 73 mph.
