2021 Scout Day: Bandits Baseball Club - Quick Hits

  • Connor Pullen, 2024, RHH/C, short quick level stroke from ride side, took a solid round of batting practice. Exit velocity of 80 mph, baseball jumps off the bat. Received well behind the dish, pop time of 2.13.
  • Richard Segura, 2022, RHH/C, 96 exit velocity, level to up path, drives the baseball with authority to all fields. Pop time to second base, was at 1.88-194. Extremely advanced on both sides of the field.
  • Matthew Jarmie, 2022, RHH/RHP, life in the hands at the plate, 87 mph exit, stance and swing very simple. Up to 80 mph off the bump, mixed in two good secondary pitches.
  • Jack Dwyer, 2022, RHH/SS, super strong hands at the plate, an advanced approach. Exit velocity of 93 mph, took a legit batting practice. Good flow defensively, projects out more at third base, an above average runner at 6.81.
  • Gian Carroccio, 2022, RHH/2B, short compact swing, line drives to all fields, had an exit velocity of 89 mph. Projecting out to be an offensive second baseman.
  • Garrick Godin, 2023, RHH/SS, strong powerful frame, swin is short and crisp, more of a pull approach, had an exit velocity of 93 mph. Actions and movements were smooth at SS, probably projects out more at third base. Fastball touched 78 mph, threw a heavy baseball.
  • Brendan McCaffrey, 2022, OF/LHP, a toolsy type athlete, runs, hits throws, ran a 6.71, threw 83 mph from outfield. Plus hands at the plate, juice to all fields. Pounded the zone with a three pitch mix, fastball up to 82 mph, with a 76 mph, slider. Good follow.
  • Brady Maccarone, 2023, RHH/OF, more of a pull approach with pop, exit of to 82 mph, took a solid round of batting practice. Ran ok with a 7.28 sixty-yard dash.
  • Aiden Cherniawski, 2024, RHH/3B, smooth, fluid swing, hands really work well for a 2024, middle of the field approach, exit velocity of 84 mph. Showed clean actions defensively, will need to continue to condition and work on quickness. Easy repeatable delivery off the mound, arm works, fastball in the mid 70’s.
  • Marcus Mensah, 2022, RHP, arm action is loose and whippy, coming out of a funking ¾ slot. Tons or arm side ride, fastball at 78 mph, with more in there. Throws a sweeping slider at 67 mph, could even go lower with arm slot.
  • Matthew Boutin, 2022, RHP, a quick arm righty, fastball up to 79 mph. Arm works with minimal effort, pounded the zone with the secondary stuff.
  • Demetrius Sampalis, 2023, RHP, big body arm, arm works from a higher slot. The fastball was in the mid to high 70’s. Shows projection, look for a climb in velocity.
