2021 Scout Day: Boys of Summer - Quick Hits

  • Connor Edo, C, Seymour, 2023- A right-handed hitter, balanced in box, line drive approach to all fields, exit velocity up to 87 mph. Defensively,  can really catch, pop time of 2.0, all throes on the bag.

  • Dylan Ellison, OF, Ansonia, 2023- A right-handed hitter, took a legit batting practice, line drives to the gaps at 90 mph. Good looking athlete.
  • Gino Tarantino, 1B/LHP, Notre Dame of FFLD, 2021- Showed well off the mound from the left-side, up to 77 mph, with arm side action, spun the breaking ball well. Smooth around the bag at 1st, can really pick it. Line drive approach at the plate.
  • Grady Schopps, SS, Fairfield Warde, 2024- A young right-handed hitter, shows plus actions, clean arm across the diamond. The swing works at the plate, needs to add strength, good follow.
  • Ryan Heinz, C, Shelton, 2024- A LHH/C, serious pop in the hands, gap to gap approach. Quick feet and transfer, good arm down to second base. Good follow.
  • Ryan Slack, SS, Derby, 2023- A long and lengthy athlete, smooth actions defensively, clean arm across the diamond, clocked at 72 mph. At the plate,  the barrel has life and whip to it, line drive approach to the gaps. Frame has plenty of room for added strength.
  • Kenneth Supersano, RHP, Shelton 2023- A RHP, a 3 pitch mixer, pounds the zone, fastball in mid to upper 70’s. The changeup is an above average pitch.
  • Kyle Carozza, RHP, Fairfield Ludlowe, 2022- A RHP, long and loose arm action, working from higher slot, pitching downhill, fastball at 78-80 mph, with a ton more in there. Slider is hard with depth, good follow.
  • Hayden Lee, LHP, Fairfield Warde, 2024- A LHP, arm and body work with minimal effort, baseball comes out well. The fastball was clocked at 72 mph, showed a small slider, plenty more in there, good follow for a 2024.
