We would like to thank all who participated in The PBR New England 2021 Scout Day: Southington Travel Baseball. This was a great opportunity for 2022-2025 prospects to be put on college recruiting boards. Many players impressed during their individual workouts at the showcase. Below we have the complete statistical results from the event as well as the top performers across various different categories.

2021 Scout Day: Southington Travel Baseball - Quick Hits

  • Jackson Rusiecki, OF/3B, Southington, 2022- A powerful right-handed hitter, drives the baseball to all parts, exit velocity of 99 mph, major juice in his hands. Throws it well from outfield, moves well for a bigger player, a must see.
  • Colin Crowely, SS/3B, Southington 2024- A smooth swing from the left-side, line drive approach to all fields. Look for the power to come as he continues to mature and fill out. Showed clean actions defensively.
  • Justin Chiulli, 3B, Southington, 2022- A LHH, smooth swing , line drives, with loft at times. Good arm across the diamond at 77 mph, average runner at 7.3.
  • Kyle Pescetelli, 1B/LHP, Southington, 2023- A RHH, length and leverage to the swing, plus power to pull side, baseball jumps off the bat. Clean footwork around the bag at 1st.
  • Christopher Magzag, SS/2B, Southington, 2022- A RHH, a short stroke, line drive approach, bangs it all over the yard. Can defend at multiple spots. 
  • Jamie Leggett, OF, Southington, 2023- A RHH/RHP, a twitchy athlete, baseball jumps off the bat, gap to gap juice, took a solid round of batting practice. Threw it well from the outfield, arm was clocked at 84 mph. Off the mound, got it up to 81 mph, late life, breaking ball in the upper 60’s.
  • Chase Beloin, 3B, Avon, 2024- A RHH, picks at 3rd, clean arm across the diamond. Shows pop in the hands, gap to gap approach.
