We would like to thank all who participated in The PBR New England 2022 Connecticut Prospect Games. This was a great opportunity for 2023-2025 prospects to be put on college recruiting boards. Many players impressed during their individual workouts at the showcase. Below we have the complete statistical results from the event as well as the top performers across various different categories.

2022 Connecticut Prospect Games - Quick Hits

  • Derek Gesmondi, 2024- A left-handed hitter, drives and sprays it all over the field, a very runner, athletic, multiple hits on the day.
  • Chase Mendela, 2024- A left-handed hitter, short, crisps stroke, can really play defense. Mixed 3 pitches off the mound, the fastball reached 86 mph.
  • David Pengel, 2025- A right-handed hitter, gap power, can really run, athletic and can play all over, attending the future games.
  • Paul Calandrelli, 2024- A right-handed hitter, short, clean swing. Polished behind the plate for 2025.
  • Michael Fischetti, 2024- A left-handed hitter, goes very well to the opposite field, above average strength in his hands. Showed good routes in the outfield.
  • Matt Moconyi, 2023- A monster left-handed hitter, major power to all fields, had an exit velocity of 102 mph, is super smooth around the bag at first. 
  • Jacob Kline, 2023- A right-handed hitter, toolsy type player, ran a 6.87, powerful swing and showed a good arm in right-field.
  • CJ DiBenedetto, 2024- A right-handed pitcher, fastball up to 86 mph, harder slider/cutter, has some deception.
  • Brandon SanMarco, 2024- A durable right-handed pitcher, arm is live, short and quick on the backside, fatball up to 78 mph, with more in there. Showed an above average breaking ball. 
  • Mason Frey, 2025- A right-handed pitcher, arm is good, fastball up to 80 mph, look for him to take jump, delivery is athletic.
  • Lucas Hoadley, 2024- A right-handed pitcher,clean arm and repeatable delivery, fastball up to 77 mph, showing feel for a changeup.
  • Joshua Trager, 2025- A right-handed pitcher, fastball up to 83 mph, life and sink to it. Harder breaker at 72 mph, all the makings of a power arm down the road.
