Naushon Galbraith, RHP, Dexter School, 2015

BACKGROUND

6-foot-1, 200-pounds with an athletic build. His frame has room to fill as his arms are long and loose. The 2015 graduate is committed to the Elon Phoenix. He also garnered interest from ACC, Big South and many Northeast programs.

SCOUTING REPORT

He pitches from a low 3/4 slot and his fastball has a ton of life. His whip like arm path leads to good boar and he sits 85-87 right now. His delivery is very simple and repeatable, so with physical maturity his stuff should improve easily. He spins a small frisbee style breaking pitch in the upper 70s which could become a swing and miss pitch. He could become really dominant with his sink and spin if he pitches in on right-handed hitters. His changeup is average right now, he just needs to throw it more often. Naushons times to the plate are quick and he does not lose much action as he goes into the stretch. There is certainly a great deal to like, as coaches/scouts should see him as bullpen guy early in his career and as his third pitch develops, he could jump into a starting role.
