Dante Ricciardi, INF, Worcester Academy, Class of 2015

PBR: Why did you choose Georgetown?

Ricciardi: I chose Georgetown for the education and for the opportunity to play.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Ricciardi: Early I was considering Boston College, but then my focus went to Stetson, Northeastern, and Rollins

PBR: Now that you have your commitment out of the way, what are your goals for your senior year?

Ricciardi: My goals are to keep working hard obviously. I want to get bigger and stronger and go into my freshman year being the best I can be. I want to win a starting job my freshman year and that's going to depend on how hard I work this offseason.

PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was the most memorable experience?

Ricciardi: I played for the Northeast Rays this summer. The most memorable experience was definitely our two and a half week try to Nashville and Georgia. I made a ton of lifelong friends on that team and we played really good baseball.

PBR: What person has the greatest impact on your baseball career and why?

Ricciardi: My dad has had the greatest impact on my baseball career because he has showed me the little things about the game that not many other parents can do. He has showed me a part of the game that not many kids have the option of seeing and because of this it has bettered me as a player and I am extremely grateful for it.

PBR: Who is the pitcher hitter you've faced in the state?

Ricciardi: Best pitcher that I've faced in state would have to be P.J. Poulin. He pitches for Tabor Academy and has a very good arm. He is a good athlete that knows how to pitch and he can run the ball up into the 90's at points. On top of that he is a great kid.
