Team New England Future Games Spotlight: Owen Batchelder, LHP/OF

On July 30th through August 1st, PBR New England will take a select team of players in the Classes of 2017 and 2018 to represent the New England states at the PBR Future Games in Indianapolis at Grand Park.

Players receive exposure unlike any other event for underclassmen. Last year, 100+ colleges from all over the country were in attendance, including coaches from every Division I power conference in the country. Only players who have a legitimate shot at being a Division I recruit and who have an interest in the possibility of making a verbal commitment during their sophomore or junior seasons have been considered.

Past Showcase/In-Game Performances:
Date: 3/8/15
Scouting Report: 6-foot-1, 185-pound projectable frame. On the mound he has an easy, slow tempo delivery that lands slightly closed. From a long, loose, high-¾ slot his fastball sits 77-79 mph with down angle. He is able to command his breaking ball at 66 mph with solid 11/5 tilt. Showcased a changeup with good arm speed at 67-69 mph with arm-side run.

Thoughts on being selected to play in PBR's Future Games and representing the New England states: "Very excited to have the opportunity to represent NH and play in area of the country that I’ve never been to."
