On July 30th through August 1st, PBR New England will take a select team of players in the Classes of 2017 and 2018 to represent the New England states at the PBR Future Games in Indianapolis at Grand Park.

Players receive exposure unlike any other event for underclassmen. Last year, 100+ colleges from all over the country were in attendance, including coaches from every Division I power conference in the country. Only players who have a legitimate shot at being a Division I recruit and who have an interest in the possibility of making a verbal commitment during their sophomore or junior seasons have been considered.

Team New England Future Games Spotlight: Robert Regine, SS

Name: Robert Regine
Position: SS
Class: 2017
Height/Weight: 5-foot-11, 165 pounds
High School: Coventry HS
Summer Team(s): Merc Elite

Past Showcase/In-Game Performances:
Date: 6/23/15
Scouting Report: Right-handed hitting shortstop who has excellent hands and feel for defending. The arm is above average, 84 from shortstop. The path is simple and he handles the pivot well. Gets off the ball well and the frame will fill at 5-foot-10, 160-pounds. The bat played nicely, open stance and a direct hand path to the ball. Squared the ball up very well in the game and ran the bases very well in game. Tee exit velocity of 86 and ran a 4.4 down the line. Front line defender for me with a chance to be a productive hitter as well. Big prospect for me.

Thoughts on being selected to play in PBR's Future Games and representing the New England states: "It's a great honor, i know a lot of kids would love to be in this position right now, and I'm so lucky I was given a chance to participate in these games, and represent New England. These future games will be a great opportunity for me to match my skills against other of the best players around the country."

How has PBR helped as far as recruiting and exposure: "PBR has helped immensely with my exposure, they guarantee college looks at every showcase and they haven't let down. I have received many emails from coaches saying they saw me play at one of there showcases. Also the profile they created for me helps recruiting because a coach can just log on and watch me with a couple of clicks of the mouse."

Athletic awards or academic accolades that you have received (All-State teams, Preseason all-state teams, league honors, honor roll, etc): 2015 2nd team all division 1, division 1 2015 underclass all star, High school team mvp. High honors freshman and sophomore year.

Summer stats: .296 Avg, 2 HR, 1 3B, 4 2B, 5 BB, 3 K

In soccer freshman year I was a swinger and played center back also I scored 4 goals on jv. Sophomore year I was full varsity. I played right back and scored 2 goals. In basketball I was on jv and started at shooting guard. And next year in indoor track I will be focusing on spinning the 55m, 100m and 200m."
