Updated Class of 2021 Player Rankings (March)

The class of 2021 in New England is certainly talented. With the uncertainty of the spring  season hanging in the wind, we are launching updated rankings.

That being said, we have had the pleasure of seeing a number of solid players this past year. Prospects are popping up left and right, making velocity jumps, improving 60-yard dash times and showing more power with the bat.

Covering six states, New England is a prime area for legit baseball talent and now we would like to bring to you the 2021 Player Rankings.

WHO IS AT THE TOP

  • Christian Moore, legit and athletic infielder headed to Tennessee to further his career. 
  • Matthew Garbowski, left-handed hitting catcher headed to Connecticut. The skill set is advanced behind the dish and at the plate.  
  • Josh Baez, legit outfielder headed to Vanderbilt. He leans on the ball at the plate and he is a plus runner. 
  • Carlos Pena (Video), potential two way guy who shows hand speed at the plate and profiles as a reliever at the next level. 
  • Jonathan Santucci rounds out the top 5, headed to Duke, he is a left-handed hitting outfielder who also touched 90 on the mound.

THE RISERS

  • Jonathan Santucci (Video), left-handed hitter with good foot speed. He recently touched 90 on the bump as the arm and athleticism oozes.  
  • Sebastian Mexico, uncommitted left-handed hitting outfielder. The swing is pure and the foot speed is solid.
  • Jeremy Delamota, big and relatively unknown outfielder from the Berkshire School. The bat has a chance to be very good. 
  • Carson Walsh, athletic right-handed hitting infielder. We have seen him a bunch of times and he has a chance to be a special player.  
  • Harry Peters, much improved right-handed hitting catcher. He swings the bat and the skill set behind the dish is excellent.

THE NEWCOMERS

  • Yechiel Saint (Video), uncommitted switch-hitting infielder with a big upside. The hands are good at the plate and he has good athleticism in the middle of the field. 
  • Anton Lazits, athletic middle infielder headed to the Ivy League. The hands are fluid at the dish and he shows power potential. The glove and foot work in the field are solid. 
  • Ryan Eaton, uncommitted plus runner who is relatively unknown. He can really run and shows life in the hands with the bat. 
  • Daniel Scolaro, uncommitted right-handed hitting outfielder. The skill set is excellent as is the frame. He has a chance to be physical.  
  • Michael Mansfield, uncommitted player out of Vermont, the hand speed with the bat is excellent.

GUYS TO WATCH IN CONNECTICUT:

  • Christian Moore, a legit, super athletic right-handed hitting middle infielder heading to Tennessee, bat will play at the next level.
  • Matthew Garbowski (Video), a left-handed hitting catcher going to Uconn, legit catch and throw prospect, with ability to swing it. 
  • Carlos Pena, a monster left-handed hitter, headed to Missouri, big power to all fields. 
  • Braden Quinn, a left-handed pitcher, heading to Uconn, fastball in the mid to upper 80’s with a big hook.
  • Frank Mozzicato, another left-handed pitcher heading to Uconn, stuff is legit, pounds the zone with three pitchers. 
  • Harrison Feinberg, a right-handed hitting outfielder, headed to USC, is a very explosive, hidden gem.

GUYS TO WATCH IN MAINE

  • Barbecue Yee, short right-handed pitcher with an extremely quick arm. 
  • CJ Willis (Video), physical right-handed hitter with good potential with the bat. 
  • Yechiel Saint, athletic switch-hitter who shows an excellent skill set and pro body. 
  • Hunter Owen, big left-handed pitcher, headed to Vanderbilt. He is a legit pro prospect. 
  • William Shapleigh, physical right-handed hitting corner infielder. The bat has good potential. 
  • Cody Bowker, young athletic right-handed hitter and pitcher. A guy for everyone to see. 
  • Connor Caverly, shows a good skill set behind the dish and potential with the bat. 
  • Nicholas Thompson, left-handed pitcher with a solid 3-pitch mix. He shows a feel for pitching. 
  • Brady Wildes- 6-foot-7 right-handed pitcher with a solid upside on the mound. 
  • Ryan Penney, quick arm left-hander with a good feel for his secondary stuff.

GUYS TO WATCH IN MASSACHUSETTS

  • Jonathan Santucci, two way guy headed to Duke. He is an excellent player. 
  • Jack Penney, slick fielding left-handed hitter headed to Notre Dame. 
  • Dennis Colleran (Video), powerful right-handed pitcher with a legit arm. 
  • Sam Griesbauer, headed to NC State, the stuff is projectable and leans to power. 
  • Anton Lazits, right-handed hitting infielder who runs and swings the bat. 
  • Sam McNulty, big and lean right-handed hitting corner infielder. The bat has plus potential.
  • DJ Pacheco, middle infielder headed to Richmond, the skill set is legit. 
  • Josh Baez, big and athletic right-handed hitting outfielder headed to Vanderbilt. 
  • Raymond Velasquez, athletic outfielder who is getting interest from many high level programs.

GUYS TO WATCH IN NEW HAMPSHIRE

  • Asa Runge, potential two-way guy headed to College of Charleston. I believe the bat is his best tool.  
  • Zach Fletcher, left-handed prospect headed to Purdue. His skill set is solid. 
  • Jonah Wachter (Video), right-handed pitcher with plus stuff, headed to Hartford. 
  • Kevin Rodriguez, left-handed hitting middle infielder with an advanced skill set. 
  • Colin Brodeur, right-handed pitcher who is trending up. His arm is long in path and works easy. 
  • Peter Haas, right-handed pitcher out of Keene, guy to see this spring. 
  • Ben O’Connell, solid catching prospect with an advanced skill set. 
  • Noah Poulin, improved and more physical right-handed hitter. The bat and skill set behind the dish is improved.
  • Corey O'Day, 5-foot-10, 175-pound right-handed hitting catcher. Put on an excellent showing behind the dish at a recent workout. Solid prospect to see in the 2021 class.

GUYS TO WATCH IN RHODE ISLAND:

  • Owen Zadrozny (Video), a monster right-handed pitcher, with an upper 80’s fastball, hard slider, heading to Northeastern.
  • Jacob Gaudreau, a left-handed hitting catcher, heading to Bryant, pop in the hands, solid catch and throw guy.
  • Zac Zyons, a left-handed hitting middle infielder, high level defender, can handle the bat, will be good for Bryant.

GUYS TO WATCH IN VERMONT

  • Ryan Eaton (Video), quick twitch right-handed hitting infielder who can really run. 
  • Michael Mansfield, explosive right-handed hitter who leans on the ball. 
  • Jarret Muzzy, right-handed pitcher with solid potential. 
  • Justis Orton,right-handed hitting first baseman who has strength in the bat. 
  • Cameron Boardman, athletic catcher who shows potential with the bat and behind the plate. 
  • Wazan Hoshino, slick fielding middle infielder with a solid skill set.
