OTHERS TO WATCH: OF Dillon Lifrieri (Wilton HS, CT), an Arkansas recruit, was the 2015 Future Games MVP and a standout at the 2018 Super 60. He has a loose right-handed swing and is a good athlete. He plays shortstop for his high school, but will likely shift to third base or the outfield down the road. He runs a 6.62-second 60. RHP Michael Burrows (Waterford HS, CT) stands at 6-foot-2, 190 pounds and has a quick arm. The fastball touches 93 mph and his breaking ball is advanced. He is committed to Connecticut. RHP Shane Smith (Governors Academy, MA), a 6-foot-4, 225-pound Wake Forest recruit, sits around 90 with his fastball and has shown improvement to his changeup and curveball. RHP Theo McDowell (Salisbury School, CT) is a converted shortstop and stands at 6-foot-5, 175 pounds He is committed to West Virginia and the ball jumps out of his hand from a low-3/4 slot. He also has the makings of a Frisbee slider. RHP Sean Burke (Saint John’s HS, MA) was gaining attention this spring with his 6-foot-4, 185-pound frame and fastball up to 92, but he will now be having Tommy John surgery.
